Begin by waking into this moment.
Gently.
Before you move and before you reach for anything,
Just pause.
Feel the quiet space of the morning,
That soft untouched stillness.
And in that quiet space,
Take a slow breath in through your nose.
And exhale gently through your mouth.
Again,
Breathing in.
.
.
And letting go.
And as you let go,
I'd like you to move your awareness to your heartbeat.
Feel your heartbeat.
Study.
Constant.
Quietly working for you.
And for a moment just feel gratitude for that.
Without needing to force it,
Just a small acknowledgement.
Your body has carried you to this new day.
Now bring your attention to your breath again.
Each inhale.
A gift.
Each exhale,
A release.
Inhale the gift of life.
Exhale and release.
There's nothing you needed to do to earn this breath.
It's already here.
And let that land softly.
That recognition,
That gratitude.
I'd like you to imagine the morning light slowly rising.
Even if you can't see it right now,
Picture a warm glow spreading across the sky.
Soft gold,
Gentle pinks,
Quiet blues.
And as that light rises outside.
Imagine it rising within you.
A calm,
Steady warmth in your chest.
This is your energy for today.
Not rushed and not forced,
Just present.
Now begin to gently bring to mind three simple things you're grateful for.
It doesn't have to be big and dramatic,
Just real things that you are grateful for.
It could be the comfort of your bed,
The chance to begin again.
Whatever it may be,
I'll give you a moment to settle into this gratitude.
With those three things that you're grateful for.
I'd like you to try and feel them,
Rather than think them.
Gratitude doesn't need to be loud,
It can be quiet,
It can be steady and almost subtle.
It doesn't need to be a massive thank you.
It can be a feeling of beauty.
And with that feeling of gratitude,
You're planting a seed.
It's a seed of awareness for what really matters,
The beauty of life.
And even that recognition.
Bring that gratitude into your whole body.
Begin to wiggle your fingers and your toes.
Notice the surface beneath you and the air around you and feel gratitude for it.
Recognize it.
Acknowledge it.
You and as you prepare to begin your day.
Carry this with you.
You don't need everything figured out today.
You never need everything figured out.
You just need to be aware.
Be present.
In the beauty of life.
And if you move forward with a little more presence and a little more appreciation.
That's enough.
So when you're ready.
Gently open your eyes if they're closed.
And step into your day.
