These words are in Gurmuki, a language derived from Sanskrit developed specifically for spiritual practices. Mantras from the Kundalini lineage are in this language. Essentially, by saying or chanting these words, you get a physical experience of what they mean. *Wahe (Wha-hay) is an exclamation of awe and wonder. *Guru (goo-roo) means that which brings one from darkness into light.
