Sink into deep rest as you are guided through the practice of Yoga Nidra, infused with a dreamy soundscape and the gentle healing energy of Reiki. This immersive experience transports you to a secret garden, a sacred inner sanctuary where the rhythms of nature and the element of Earth hold you in rest and remembrance. Composed completely from scratch, this sonic voyage weaves samples of field recordings, sound healing instruments, and natural textures to evoke the Earth's spirit and deepen your sensory experience. Each moment is designed to soothe your nervous system, restore energetic balance, and awaken your inner knowing. Return to your roots, and receive the Earth's wisdom through sound and stillness.

Welcome to the practice of Yoga Nidra.
Find a space where you can get comfortable.
Invitation to lay down.
You can also be seated or finding another comfortable shape where you can rest.
Finding a place where you can be uninterrupted so that you can truly sink into the depth of this practice.
Yoga Nidra is known as yogic sleep.
It can be described as a state of consciousness between wakefulness and sleep.
We access that space of nothingness where everything is birthed from.
The place of limitless possibility.
All you have to do is lay back and receive.
In this practice we will be traveling through the different layers of the mind and the body.
Really getting deep into the core of our being.
We want to try to stay awake and alert.
But if you happen to drift off into sleep,
That is perfectly okay.
And know that you are getting what you need from this practice either way.
So it is with deep gratitude and excitement that I welcome you to this practice.
To this state of conscious rest.
As you settle into your body and your space,
Make sure you will be comfortable.
Maybe grabbing a pillow or a blanket.
And as best you can,
Just welcome everything in.
Just as it is.
Notice how you are arriving.
Becoming aware of any sensations in the body.
Any thoughts looping through the mind.
Any emotions or feelings that might be here.
Let everything be just as it is.
And noticing the space you are in.
If there are any external sounds happening around you.
See if you can let any of those sounds or potential distractions just be a pointer back into your deep stillness and concentration.
Without moving into agitation or frustration.
Get as comfortable as you can.
So you can remain present during this practice.
Inviting in any wiggles or movements to make yourself even 1% more comfortable.
Let's take a deep breath in through the nose.
Out through the mouth.
Deep full breath in.
Long full breath out.
Breathing in.
You are welcome to take as many of those deep breaths as you need.
Let your body sink into the floor or the couch or the bed.
The space beneath you.
Become aware of how the earth is holding you.
Supporting you.
Grounding you.
Feel the earth rising up to meet your body.
Allow your breath to soften.
Allow your breath to hold you.
Soft,
Natural breathing.
Remain conscious and aware while you are guided.
And just keep listening.
Deep listening.
This time is solely for you.
Begin to draw your awareness to your heart.
Feel into your heart space and listen.
Tuning into the rhythm and language of your heart.
We will go ahead and set our intention for our practice known as a Sankalpa.
A Sankalpa is the vow and commitment we make to support the highest truth of our heart.
And that we get to nurture and nourish throughout our practice and throughout our lives.
So tuning into your heart.
Asking yourself,
What is my Sankalpa for this Yoga Nidra?
What is my intention?
Allow your Sankalpa to bubble up from within.
And you might ask yourself,
What is my deepest longing at this time?
My heart's deepest desire?
Listen.
When we set our Sankalpa,
We say it as though it is already happening.
For example,
I am deeply rested.
Or I am worthy of my own compassion and care.
I receive unlimited joy and abundance in my life.
Whatever you are calling into your heart space,
Repeat it to yourself three times.
Setting your Sankalpa,
Your intention.
Planting it like a seed deep into your heart.
Trusting that it is already happening.
Now invite your awareness to settle in your body.
Awake as you follow my voice.
Feel each body part as it is mentioned.
Without moving,
Embrace all sensation.
Begin to draw your awareness down to the soles of your feet.
Feeling into the soles of your feet.
The point of our body that connects us down to the earth.
Feel the soles of your feet.
Feel all of your toes together at once.
Notice the tops of your feet.
The fronts of your ankles.
Awareness at the hip flexors.
And the tops of your shoulders.
Float your awareness to the center of your throat.
Notice your jaw.
Let your jaw unhinge,
Unclench.
Soften your cheeks.
Notice the tip of your nose.
Notice both of your ears receiving sound.
Draw awareness to the corners of your eyes.
Feel your eyebrows.
Feel the forehead soften.
Can you even soften your scalp?
Feel the top of your head,
The crown of your head.
And the back of your head.
Feel both shoulder blades.
The space between your shoulder blades.
Feel the middle of your back.
And the soles of both feet.
See if you can hold your whole body in awareness.
From the soles of your feet up to the crown of your head.
And just notice all sensation.
Bring your awareness back to your breath.
Notice your natural breath in your body.
Allow your mind to rest in these natural rhythms of breath.
Notice where you can feel your breath in your body.
Feel natural breath in your body.
Notice your heart.
Feel your heart as color.
Notice what color is your heart space.
Allow this color and these sensations to start to flow throughout the rest of your body.
This heart color like liquid flows into the shoulders.
Down the arms.
Into the hands.
See this river of heart color flowing down through the torso.
The belly.
The hips.
Through the tunnels of the legs into the feet.
Feel and see this heart color flow upward into the neck and throat.
To fill the head.
Keep breathing and seeing this light expand until your whole body is fully filled by this glowing heart color.
Allow this to slowly melt away any remaining stress,
Tension,
Worries,
Or to-do lists.
Feelings of comfort,
Warmth.
See this color begin to grow outward.
Filling up the space around you.
Expanding outward.
See this heart color as life force flowing through you and around.
Vibrancy.
Keep breathing and expanding this light.
Now begin to imagine you are walking through a beautiful forest.
Visualize yourself walking down a path in a forest.
Real or imaginary.
As you walk down this forest path,
You look up and around you.
Noticing the quality of the light.
Is it dawn?
Is it daytime?
Is it dusk?
Notice the grass,
The trees,
The flowers all around.
Notice what you smell.
Maybe some pine or cedar.
Fresh lavender.
As you continue to walk along the path,
Taking in all of your surroundings,
You notice several stepping stones in front of you.
You begin to step,
Counting one,
Two,
Three stepping stones.
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight,
Nine,
Ten.
After the tenth step,
You look up and notice you are in a new place.
A secret garden.
You get the sense that you have been here many times before.
Everything seems familiar and comfortable.
Almost like it was made just for you.
As you step off the stones,
You look around and take in everything.
You feel the pull to walk towards your favorite tree.
You will know the one.
You walk forward towards the tree,
Standing or sitting in front of it.
As you settle in front of the tree,
You close your eyes and begin to sync up with the energetic frequency of this tree in front of you and the earth beneath you.
You feel your entire nervous system start to come into balance.
Feeling calm,
Grounded,
Supported,
And so held.
You feel a subtle pulsing within you and on the edges of your skin as your energy starts to sync with the earth element all around you.
You feel this nurturing,
Calming energy wrap you up like a loving hug.
Your cells begin to tingle with the wisdom of the earth that exists within you.
You begin to feel the energy of the earth rising up through your feet,
Bringing healing,
Cleansing energy to each of your energy centers,
Channels,
And meridians.
This healing energy rises up your legs,
Pausing for a moment at your root chakra,
The very base of your spine.
You feel this earth energy cleansing and clearing away any stagnant or stuck energy,
Any density or heavy emotion that you've been holding on to.
Feel and breathe in this energy at your root chakra,
Right at the base of your spine.
The energy of the earth continues to move up your spine,
To your sacral chakra right below the belly button,
Up to your solar plexus above the belly button.
You feel this cleansing and clearing releasing any energetic debris stored in these energy centers.
This earth energy continues to move up to the heart chakra,
Up to the throat,
Through the third eye,
The center of your forehead,
And the crown chakra,
The top of your head.
Beautiful healing grounding earth energy flowing through all of your chakras from the tips of your toes through the crown of your head.
You feel radiant,
Glowing,
Vibrating with this new energy and aliveness.
You take a moment to open up your eyes and gaze at this magnificent tree in front of you.
You look over to your left and notice a small bouquet of flowers,
Almost as if they had been picked just for you,
Just for this occasion,
Just for this offering.
You pick up the flowers and place them at the foot of the tree,
A symbol of gratitude and reverence for this magnificent journey that you've been on.
You start to give thanks and acknowledgement to the earth for everything it gives you,
Starting with your physical body,
This beautiful vessel teeming with life and energy.
Thank you for this body.
You start to thank the earth for the food that grows,
The trees and plants for holding and supporting all of life.
You sit here with this tree,
With the earth element expressing your deep gratitude and reverence,
And you now ask the earth,
What message do you have for me?
Breathe and listen.
Recognize that you are just like this tree in front of you,
A conduit between the earth and the sky,
With roots growing so deep into the earth and branches reaching so high into the sky,
Giving and receiving.
Existing in reciprocity and balance with the earth.
Existing in reciprocity and balance with the divine.
Our human bodies standing in the balance of it all.
When you feel complete,
You begin to stand up and leave your secret garden,
Walking back towards the stepping stones,
Saying thank you to your favorite tree one last time.
You make your way to the stones and walk across them,
Counting 1,
2,
3,
4,
5,
6,
7,
8,
9,
10.
You step off the last stone,
Look around you and notice you are back in the forest,
Back where you began,
Back on the path that brought you to your secret garden.
Know that you can return here at any time.
This place is solely for you to visit,
To connect with your innermost heart,
To commune with the elements,
And to just be.
Gently guide your awareness back to your breath.
Notice the natural ebb and flow of your breath,
Like the waves of an ocean rolling in and out.
Guide your awareness back to your heart and begin to recall your intention,
Your sankalpa,
The seed you planted at your heart.
Feel your sankalpa,
See it and breathe it into every cell in your body,
Repeating your intention back to yourself three times.
When you feel ready to transition out of this space,
Start to take a deeper breath in through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
Taking several more deep breaths as you slowly bring your awareness back to your body and your physical surroundings.
Take all the time you need.
Stay slow and soft as you bring some gentle movement back into the fingers and toes.
Move slowly and take any stretches or movements that feel nourishing.
Feel the earth beneath you,
Feel the room around you,
And feel your breath.
Whatever you do,
Take all the time you need.
This helps to keep the nervous system calm and relaxed.
It helps to bring some of this dream-like state back into your world.
