Welcome,

Sweet soul.

This is a meditation for the root chakra.

Please find a comfortable seat somewhere where your sit bones feel grounded and stable.

Maybe on the earth or a chair.

Bringing your awareness to the very root of your torso.

Right at the perineum.

This is mulandara chakra,

The first energy center.

Located right at the base of the spine.

You can imagine a red orb spinning in this space.

Just seeing the quality of this orb,

The brightness,

The vibrancy,

The speed at which it spins.

This energy center is responsible for your sense of safety and security in the physical and mental-emotional realms.

This area directs your feelings of having your basic needs met.

When you feel fear,

Anxiety,

Or scarcity,

Often an unbalanced root chakra is to blame.

Laying a solid foundation in firm soil is crucial to providing stability and encouraging growth.

This grounding is strongly related to the safety that you felt growing up.

Your conditioning affects this chakra more than anything else.

You may have grown up in a world where you were worried that you wouldn't get what you needed to survive,

Whether it be food,

Shelter,

Or love.

Bring your awareness back to this red spinning orb right at the base of your spinal column.

As you inhale,

Direct the breath down into the space,

Allowing the energy you feel to expand and grow,

Becoming bigger and brighter with each breath in.

And on the breath out,

Imagine roots poking out of your sit bones,

Piercing the floor or the chair that you're seated in,

Running straight down through the floor or the ground or the foundation of the building that you're in through any walls or furniture or blocks of concrete or wood.

And then imagining these roots entering the earth through the first layer of dirt,

Minerals,

Sediment,

Water,

And then driving further into the planet,

Moving through the denser layers of rock,

Crystal,

Metal,

And into the deepest layers of our planet,

To its fiery core.

Imagine yourself connected,

Tethered to your home,

To mama earth,

To the source of the physical world.

As you inhale,

Bringing your awareness back up your roots into your physical body,

Gathering any worries or fears,

Any feelings of lack or not having enough.

Gather all of that energy,

All of that darkness on your inhale,

Fill your body.

And as you exhale,

Send these worries,

Send this negativity through your sit bones,

Through your root chakra,

Into your roots.

Exhaling it all the way through the earth into this fiery core of mother earth.

Exhaling to gather more stagnancy,

More worry,

More feelings of stuckness.

And exhaling,

Imagining this energy leaving your body through your root into the planet there,

The earth welcomes it as fuel where she will take this darkness and transmute it into light.

As you imagine the last bit of darkness leave your body,

I want you to call in what you need.

From the earth through your roots,

Allow this energy to travel up into your body,

A gift.

And bringing up as much as you need with each inhale,

Allowing yourself to receive.

As you call up this last bit of energy,

Notice any differences in how you feel.

Breathing deeply,

Feeling back into this glowing red orb at your root,

Noticing the brightness,

The clarity,

Allowing yourself to repeat out loud or in your mind the following affirmations.

I have everything I need in my life.

I trust that the universe will provide for me when I need help.

I am safe and secure in my world throughout change and growth.

This is my birthright and I am here to enjoy life.

I am connected to mother earth and she will always take care of me.

I feel supported and loved by those closest to me.

As you take a deep breath in,

Feel the potency of these affirmations flow throughout your body.

As you breathe a little deeper through the nose,

Filling the lungs from the bottom up.

Exhale,

Feel rooted and grounded in your sit bones,

In your root center as you draw these roots back up as you retract your energy back up into your being.

Being complete and whole just as you are right here,

Right now.

Taking your awareness back into your physical body and the room that you're in.

Close with the chant of lam,

The seed syllable for the root chakra.

Take a breath in.

Squeezing all of your air.

Squeezing the abdominals all the way to the end.

Big breath in to chant.

Lam.

As you're ready,

You can allow the eyes to flutter open and enjoy your day.

Namaste.

I really like the pace of her voice. I seem to respond very well to very slow speaking. Thank you this was great.
