Welcome.
I am so glad you are here.
Take a moment,
Just this moment,
To acknowledge that you arrived.
You found this.
Something in you knew it was time to come home.
Allow that to be enough.
There is nowhere to get to in the next few minutes.
Nothing to fix,
Nothing to force,
Nothing to figure out.
You are simply being invited back to yourself.
Find a position that feels like permission.
Sitting,
Lying down,
Whatever your body is asking for right now.
Let your eyes close,
Or soften your gaze towards the earth.
And just notice that you have a body.
Not to judge it,
Not to change it.
Simply to acknowledge it.
This body has carried you here.
This body that has held everything you have ever moved through.
It is still here.
You are still here.
Begin to feel the surface beneath you.
The floor,
The chair,
The bed.
Let it receive your weight.
You do not have to hold yourself up right now.
Something solid is here.
Something is holding you.
Now,
Without changing anything,
Just simply notice your breath.
Not your ideal breath,
Your actual breath.
The one that is happening right now.
Let the next exhale be just a little longer than the inhale.
Nothing forced,
Not performed.
Just a little more release on the out-breath.
Inhale,
Receiving.
Exhale,
Releasing.
Your nervous system is listening to this.
It is already beginning to orient towards safety.
Not because you did anything right,
Because this slow,
Quiet breath is the oldest signal your body knows.
I am safe.
I can rest.
I am here.
Begin to bring your awareness to the top of your head.
Nothing to analyze,
Not to assess.
Just simply to arrive there.
And slowly let your awareness move down.
Your forehead.
The space between your eyebrows.
Allow it to soften.
Your jaw.
If there is holding there,
And often there is,
You do not need to force it open.
Just simply give it permission.
Permission to release what is no longer needing to be held.
Your throat.
The place where so much has been swallowed.
So much left unsaid.
Allow it to be soft now.
And into your chest.
Place a hand here if it feels right.
Feel the rise and fall beneath your palm.
This rhythm that has never once abandoned you.
Not once.
Even in the hardest moments.
Your heart kept its rhythm.
Your body kept returning you.
Your belly.
Your hips.
Your seat.
Heavy.
Rooted.
Earthed.
You belong to this earth.
And the earth already knows how to hold you.
Safety is not something you have to earn.
It is not a reward for getting it right.
It is not reserved for when life feels easier.
Safety is a state,
And your body,
Your wise,
Intelligent ancient body,
Already knows the way back to it.
Broken.
Whatever you have been carrying,
Whatever has made you feel like you are too much,
Or not enough,
Or somehow the wrong shape for the life you want.
That is not the truth of you.
That is conditioning.
And conditioning can be unlearned.
Right now,
In this moment,
You are safe.
You are held.
Begin to deepen your breath once more.
If you are ready,
Allow your eyes to open.
Take in the light slowly.
There is no rush to return.
Place both hands on your heart if you feel called,
And know this feeling you are sitting with right now,
This is yours.
You did not borrow it.
You remembered it.
It was never lost.
It was waiting.
You came back to it,
Today.
That matter.
I am honoured to have held this space with you.
Until next time,
Take good care of that sacred body of yours.
It knows the way home.
