Guru Mantra
The Guru Mantra, also known as the Guru Maha Mantra, is a sacred chant rooted in Vedic tradition, particularly within Hinduism and yogic practices. It's a Mantra chanted to honour the guru, who is seen as a spiritual guide that dispels ignorance and leads the disciple toward enlightenment. This mantra invokes divine guidance and expresses gratitude to the guru principle. Its translations mean: "The guru is Brahma (the Creator), the Guru is Vishnu (the Preserver), the Guru is Shiva (the Destroyer). The Guru is the direct experience of the Supreme Brahman, Salutation to that great Guru". "Guru Brahma, Guru Vishnu, Guru Devo Maheshvara. Guru Sakshat, Parambrahma, Tasmai Sri Gurave Namah".
