Vulnerability is tough to face in a world where we have to show results and be head-on in our jobs, and maybe sometimes with our partners, our kids. Despite all that, if we dare to step into vulnerability there is a possibility for others to show their vulnerability. Hi,

My name is Alexandra and today I want to guide you through open up to vulnerability.

Vulnerability is very hard to face in a world where we have to show results and be head-on in our jobs and maybe sometimes with our partners,

Our kids and despite all that as Renee Brown teaches us over and over again,

If we dare to step into vulnerability,

There is a possibility for others to show their vulnerability.

So if you're happy to engage a little bit into that sensation in your own space as a practice,

I welcome you to join me.

And as we start,

You can simply place your hands on your knees,

Palms up or if you're on a chair,

Anywhere where your hands can rest in a more open vulnerable state.

And if you find it hard to tune in,

The fastest way is to just take a deep breath in through the nose and hold it for a moment and allow your breath to guide you to this very presence of this very moment.

Yesterday and tomorrow don't exist,

Only right now is real.

I hope you have been breathing out in between but as you notice how hard it can be to hold the breath in,

The longer you hold it in,

The more it'll make you return into everything that you are in your body.

So maybe two more deep intentional breaths while you gently close your eyes.

See if you can relax anything that doesn't need to be engaged while holding the breath in shortly.

And then letting go.

And as I said before,

Vulnerability is necessary now more than ever to connect,

To heal,

To grow.

And as a result you might experience more strength,

True strength and true freedom for yourself.

It's when you stop resisting.

And it starts with an open body so you can actively release any tension in the jaw and your shoulders.

Can you relax your brow?

And can you let that sensation sweep like a wave through your body?

And maybe even to let go of any expectation you have for this meditation.

And that is the first shedding of the first layers of fear we hold.

Fear is an emotion that makes us contract and to let go is part of becoming vulnerable.

And part of revealing our true selves.

So that our lives become more meaningful and not charades.

Touching deeper into different spaces of your body like your heart.

If you go to the center of your chest,

Is your heart ready to shine and be open and wide in the front and in the back and to the sides?

Is your heart ready to shine and be open and wide in the front and in the back and to the sides?

As you dive,

I'm ready to release deeper and even deeper.

And can you release any tension in the pelvic area?

And as we're checking in with the body and allowing it to soften,

Can you check in with the mind?

Can you let go of any arguing thoughts of constructions,

Of righteousness,

Unworthiness,

So that the ego can rest?

I know this is easier said than done.

The ego even comes up with like,

Now I have let go.

But when there is nothing to achieve,

Nothing to experience,

And you are vulnerable to this openness where whatever needs to come into your life can come in,

You learn to identify how fear sets in.

And you can see where it sits in every nook and cranny of your body,

Your mind and sometimes in your heart.

And to me,

The fastest way to turn this around is to step back into the heart and decide to live from love rather than fear.

Fear,

Moment by moment by moment by moment.

And when you start reviring yourself,

Your thoughts,

Your body,

And therefore your actions,

You might feel more at ease to experience your emotions and see the beauty of that expression.

Crying is so helpful because tears are magic and healing.

Being angry is an experience that you can let go after it moves through with you.

And be so happy it becomes infectious today to anyone who meets you.

Knowing that the more vulnerable you become,

Others can be that too around you.

And then take a deep breath in and open your eyes at once.

And as you settle back into this space that you're in,

Can you remember when you go out how to be vulnerable,

How to create magic?

And I want to thank you for joining me and sharing your practice today with me.

Hope to see you again soon.
