Welcome to this five minute meditation to help you feel at home in your body.
Let's begin.
Taking a moment right now to arrive there.
Into this present moment Finding a comfortable position and allowing yourself to relax and settle.
Gently relaxing the shoulders shaking out the hands releasing any tension from the day right now In today's world it's so easy to get caught up in comparison and judgment when it comes to our bodies.
We expect our bodies to look,
Behave and function in a certain way and sometimes measuring ourselves to these standards.
Creates a lot of dissatisfaction.
Today we're going to focus on everything your body does for you.
Offering gratitude and appreciation for our amazing bodies and how they carry us through life.
Turn your attention to your chest right now.
The rising and falling of your chest.
The lungs expanding and emptying Your lungs do this thousands of times every single day.
And you never have to control this.
Think about your heart beating in your chest it's been beating since before you were born and will continue to do so your strong and healthy heart.
Fueling the entirety of your body.
Never ever taking a break think about your arms or legs and how they enable you to go about your day moving,
Holding things,
Taking action,
Propelling you through life.
Bring your attention to your face,
Maybe your eyes,
Ears,
Nose or mouth.
All of these wonderful senses that allow us to experience the beauty and fullness of life Think about your hands.
And all the things they've done today already.
Maybe holding a cup of tea or coffee preparing your breakfast holding your phone.
Maybe even holding somebody else's hand.
Think about all the ways in which they allow you to connect and live life.
Our body's appearance is valuable.
But what is infinitely more valuable.
Is how our body functions and allows us to make the most out of life in whatever capacity that is for us.
Take a moment now to think of three things that you are so grateful for when it comes to your body.
Take that time right now.
Taking a deep breath in.
And exhale.
What is one action or intention that you can set today?
That will help support your body and health.
Bringing your attention back into the present moment taking one final deep breath in and exhale.
Take this mindset with you throughout your day.
And be grateful for all of the incredible things your body does for you.
Have a wonderful day.
