Get in a comfortable position.

Place one hand on your heart and one hand on your belly.

Take a deep breath in.

As you fill your belly with air,

Imagine energy flowing up your spine and gathering at the top of your head.

Hold your breath and at the same time,

Hold that energy at the top of your head for 5,

4,

3,

2,

1,

And slowly release.

Imagine the energy releasing from the top of your head and slowly dissipating in the space around your body.

Again deep breath in and imagine energy moving up your spine like liquid in a straw.

Let it gather at the top of your head and hold for 5,

4,

3,

2,

1,

And slowly release.

Imagining the energy leaving your crown and dissolving into the space around you.

One more time,

Deep breath in and visualize that energy slowly moving up your spine,

Gathering at the top of your head and holding it for 5,

4,

3,

2,

1,

And release.

Let's begin.

You're at the edge of a very large canyon.

It's just before sunrise and you can see the first light of the sun behind the mountains in the distance.

The air is cool yet comfortable against your skin.

You look across the canyon and notice that there's a bridge.

Something tells you to cross it.

So you take that first step onto the wooden panels.

The bridge shakes but you don't feel afraid.

You walk slowly yet confidently across,

Breathing in and out with each step.

As you get closer to the other side,

You notice that the bridge leads to a door.

There's light coming from around the edges and you can smell the faint aroma of something delicious cooking.

As you get closer and closer,

You feel your body start to tingle with anticipation.

You know that there is something amazing behind that door and you can't wait to see what's on the other side.

What does that door look like?

Imagine that now.

Reach out your hand and grab the handle.

As you push the door open,

You hear a friendly voice welcome you,

A familiar voice.

You look up and see your future self.

They're so happy to see you and you're just as happy to see them.

You notice that even though they look just like you,

There's something different.

Their face looks light and full of life.

They're completely at ease.

You notice that they're saying something to you.

As you listen,

You can feel that they have nothing but complete love and acceptance for you and it feels so good to hear these words.

What are they saying?

It feels amazing.

Now,

You look your future self in the eye and ask,

What does your life look like now?

As they answered,

Listen carefully,

What are they describing to you?

You look your future self in the eye and ask,

What is your life like now?

As your ideal self tells you all about the life they live,

Your body fills with excitement.

It's everything you've ever dreamed of and more.

Allow yourself a minute to finish soaking it all in.

How does it feel?

Now,

You've heard all about the life your ideal self is living.

Isn't that amazing?

You want to stay and talk more,

But you know that it's time to leave.

You reach out and turn the doorknob.

But before you step out,

You turn around for one more glimpse of your ideal self.

You can see the love and acceptance in their eyes as they look at you and silently wave goodbye.

Now,

Step through the door and close it firmly behind you.

It's daylight now.

The mist is slowly rising above the trees,

And the shaky wooden bridge you took to get here glistens as if it's made out of gold.

You walk across effortlessly back to your present life.

Everything's the same,

Yet so different.

Take a deep breath and let the cool air of the morning fill your lungs.

Remember your ideal self and the life that they are living.

Smile.

Remind yourself that,

Even though you haven't experienced it yet,

That it is already done.

Now open your eyes.

Remember how good it felt to hear all about your ideal life.

Hold onto those feelings today.
