This is an invitation to receive.
What does it mean to receive?
To truly receive in all ways.
To let yourself put down your guard and allow the receiving from others,
From yourself,
From each moment,
From the world around you.
An invitation to receive is an invitation to slow down,
Put your palms up,
Allow your face to soften,
Allow your breath to deepen.
Receiving a sip of water,
A helping hand,
An offer to support.
I know how much you give because I give too.
I know how much you have to give because I have so much too.
You have so many gifts of love,
Of service,
Of creativity,
Of time,
Of energy.
And that is a beautiful thing.
But now it's time to receive.
To open your heart,
Open your hands,
To open your mind,
To receive this moment.
These words,
The air brushing your skin,
The beating of your heart.
For in learning to receive,
You teach the world around you to keep giving.
You teach the world around you that you are worthy of receiving.
The compliment,
The gifts,
The beauty,
And the sacredness within.
How do we receive?
When you're so used to giving and there's no need to stop,
Simply make the space to notice all the gifts already in your world,
In your body,
In your mind.
Open your hands and set down the happiness.
Create space in the physical corners and in the main rooms of your life.
Slow it down.
Speak your gratitude.
And moment by moment,
Notice all that is already on the way to you right now.
Learning to receive is a gift to yourself and the world around you.
Blessings on your journey,
May you receive my words with a love and intention and deep gratitude.
