You've rented a bungalow in the woods in the middle of a rainstorm.
Although this is your first time on the property,
It feels oddly familiar,
Like you've lived here before,
Or you've been here before.
In fact,
When the host handed you the keys,
You were certain you'd known them from somewhere,
Maybe a déjà vu.
Now this house was built eons ago,
This bungalow,
But it still manages to shield you from the rain.
And you've come here to write,
To put pen to paper,
But you don't yet know what you will write about,
Necessarily.
I want you to feel the sensation of walking into this bungalow.
How does it smell when you open the door?
What is the quality of light passing through the windows?
You're getting acquainted with the space,
And suddenly it hits you.
You've been here before,
But not in a logical type of way.
The more you feel into this feeling,
The more you begin to realize,
And you need to write.
You grab a pen and head to the nearest piece of paper.
The feelings are flooding back into your mind.
Familiarity can be ancient,
You think to yourself,
Because sometimes the people that we seem to know the most,
It can go way back.
Sometimes the places that we feel like we've been there before,
We have a connection to them on another level altogether.
It's your turn to remember.
Allow yourself to remember how and why you've been here before,
At this particular cabin.
It's your turn to experience your imagination,
There's no wrong or right way to do this.
Simply allowing yourself to notice,
Observe,
And get curious.
We'll tune back in shortly.
But wait,
It doesn't matter how often it's crossed one road whether you're wondering it or the other… Pausing for just a moment to collect your thoughts regarding this experience.
The intention of this guided meditation is to help us realize the deeper dimensions of what we know and how we know.
Whether that's through familiarity,
Deja vu,
Other levels of experience,
What have you.
Thank you for being here and I will see you next time.
Thank you for being here.
