As I begin this day,

Thank you Lord for giving me this marvelous gift.

This day starts with my mind thinking about planned events.

Maybe I have to get the kids ready for school,

Go to work,

Pay bills,

Food shopping,

And other possible scheduled errands.

But each new day also has the promise of unexpected adventures.

Beautiful moments that will fill my soul with joy.

I never know what the Lord has prepared to put into my life each day.

I must be open and trusting in this process.

I know that all my experiences are here to make me better and to bring me closer to you,

God.

I start this day open to what you have ready for me.

I know that your love is with me always and will give me strength today and all the days that follow.

Amen.
