Lost.
You and our country have been lost far too long,
Dear one.
In activity,
In providing,
In caretaking,
In worry and fret.
In circuitous routes that promised bounty and did not deliver.
In other people's views of who and what you should be.
And in your own quicksand of do's and don'ts,
Where every move you make takes you deeper,
Where you do not want to be.
You have been lost far too long.
I have watched,
Waited,
Prayed for,
And longed for you.
I have had my eyes on you.
There was little I could do for you without your say-so,
Your consent,
Your go-ahead.
Remember I will never intrude.
I speak only by invitation when you ask and are willing to get quiet enough to listen.
Now that you are here and with your permission,
I can speak well on your behalf.
With you,
For you,
Through you.
I long to help you find your way,
To help America find her way.
Life is designed for moving forward,
Away from what harms and towards that which adds life to your life,
Life to America.
Moving forward is another birthright you inherited as an American.
Moving forward is our nation's birthright,
The root of its conception.
Count on me,
Dear one,
And America,
To help lost become a faint memory and found to become home.
How we discover found together.
Journey.
Our time together can be a never-ending journey.
Like all of life,
It is the path that counts,
Not the destination.
The thrill of it is we do not know what will happen.
Maybe that is a blessing and a curse.
Our not knowing the future preserves our choice.
However,
What you do know is that I cherish journeying with you.
Shall we make this journey bold,
Audacious,
Outside the box?
Brave and thrilling?
Calm and enlightening?
You are allowing this time to grow you,
Expand you,
Deepen your faith,
Increase your capacity to listen,
Push your limits,
Carve out what is unnecessary,
Remind you that you are worthy,
Prepare yourself for more love,
Deepen your self-love,
And be of service to America and to whoever crosses your path.
This journey together is our gift to our country,
Dear one.
We are serving her well.
What part of our journey are you enjoying the most?
Open Be open,
Wide open.
Some people have treasures and keep them under lock and key.
No one gets to enjoy them,
Not even their owners.
To me,
That is wasted treasure.
Sometimes hearts can be wasted treasures also.
People keep them to themselves,
Fearing that if they give away what is inside,
They will be all the poor.
The opposite is true.
When you give away what is in your heart,
Caring,
Respect,
Kindness,
And that all-important stuff called love,
You become richer,
Not poorer.
The more love you give,
The more love you have.
I am sure you and all can think of times in your life when you poured out your heart,
Made a huge difference,
And felt really good inside.
And I'm sure you can also think of many times,
Even today,
When you closed your heart and did not give as generously as you could,
Even to yourself.
Like today,
Did you perhaps look in the mirror and say something unkind about yourself?
If so,
You may not have noticed but your energy and sweet spirit dimmed.
Keeping your heart open is one of the ways you can serve America well.
Our country was founded on and thrives on open ideas and benefits greatly from open hearts and open minds.
Live life with an open palm.
Put yourself there.
To whom can you open your heart?
