Being.
Who are you,
Dear one?
And who are all others who live on this earth?
Are you an object?
A body in a world of other bodies?
Or are you a soul,
A spiritual being residing in a body,
But not constrained by it?
How you answer this question makes a world of difference.
And how a society,
A country answers this question determines its success or failure,
Its health or sickness,
Its longevity or demise.
Objects have worth as long as they are useful.
And if not deemed useful,
They are easily disregarded,
Discarded or destroyed.
Souls,
Spiritual beings,
On the other hand,
Are worthy of care,
Compassion and consideration beyond their utility.
Moving from seeing people as objects,
As bodies,
To seeing people as precious beings,
Like a just-birthed infant,
Changes everything.
And when a society,
A country sees its people as beings instead of objects,
It rises and thrives.
That choice starts with you.
Object or being?
Choose wisely.
Your very life and that of our country depends on it.
Which are you?
An object or being?
And your neighbor?
