Welcome to this meditation in which I will guide you to connect with your heart and your emotions and to help you strengthen and nourish your heart and its wonderful and unique energy and to sit in it and familiarize yourself with your own unique heart energy.

Feeling at home in your body and opening to receiving love and compassion from others.
To find a comfortable position ideally sitting upright on the floor or on a chair so that you feel this beautiful unconditional support of the earth underneath.
Allowing your shoulders to drop and opening your chest up so that you can give your heart and your lungs space to breathe so you can really feel into this beautiful heart space of yours.
Then allowing your eyes to close if that feels comfortable and then placing a hand in the middle of your chest.
Feeling your heart beneath your hand and taking three nice and deep breaths.
And then feeling the contact of your body with the floor,
With the earth.
Feeling how the earth is unconditionally holding us up,
Supporting us.
And allowing your mind which we don't need for this exercise to relax to drop into your body maybe to drop into your heart and to rest there for the duration of this meditation.
Maybe you can imagine or invite it to hang out in a hammock in your heart.
Take some time to fully inhabit this body of yours with your loving attention.
And then placing a hand over your heart space.
And maybe noticing the subtle sensations of breathing at your chest.
Noticing how the in breath nourishes your heart space and makes it bigger and stronger and how the out breath naturally relaxes and calms your heart.
So letting the breath find its own rhythm and imagining that it's flowing in and out into your heart space and out of your heart space revitalizing on the in breath and relaxing on the out breath.
And then take a moment to turn towards your heart.
Maybe with a little smile and say hello my dear heart how are you today?
And open up to your heart showing you whatever emotions are present within your heart space today.
Opening yourself up to maybe tricky emotions which are tightening your heart or burdening your heart.
Maybe there's sorrow or grief or hurt sadness or loneliness.
Maybe there's also some tightening around worries,
Concerns,
Fears that you might be having.
And opening up to those making space for them they're already here welcoming them as best as you can for now.
They're part of our human experience and also making space for any emotions which lighten your heart which vitalize your heart make it smile such as joy,
Love,
Gratitude,
Ease and peace,
Compassion,
Courage,
Trust,
Faith,
Hope.
Making space for all these emotions to be in your heart space right now welcoming them all.
And continuing to breathe through your heart.
And then I invite you to imagine that you have roots.
Growing out of your feet and legs and lower body into the ground maybe all the way into the center of the earth.
And Mother Earth wants to support and nourish us so you can maybe think about what quality you need right now.
And ask Mother Earth to nourish you through these roots.
And as you breathe in pull up this quality that you need right now into your body and into your heart space.
And as you breathe out feel your roots growing even more deeply even further reaching even more deeply into the ground.
Allowing yourself to be nourished by Mother Earth through the in-breath pulling up whatever it is that you need the kind of nourishment Mother Earth gladly provides for us because we're of the earth and on the out-breath feeling your roots growing even more deeply into the ground into the earth.
And if you like also allowing yourself to release any burdensome emotions through the out-breath into the earth trusting that Mother Earth is burdened by it but welcomes it and can easily recycle these emotions that you no longer need.
When you're ready opening yourself up to the highest form of love.
Maybe that's your ideal compassion being maybe you have several of those so simply inviting them to come close.
To remind yourself of their loving presence and to trust and feel that you're always loved even during moments when you don't love yourself you're always loved.
Letting yourself feel how this love flows into your heart space nourishes your heart space strengthens your heart space.
And then opening up to the sky to the universe.
To the divine and also feeling how there's infinite space and support from above.
And letting your heart space be nourished by the energy of the divine the universe whatever you call it.
And then simultaneously putting in energy nourishment from the earth from the sky and from the loving presence around you.
Feeling how your heart is nourished and being strengthened.
And you may notice how your heart space is expanding maybe there's a sense of your own heart energy being like a light that is shining more strongly.
So give yourself permission to let that heart energy of yours shine brightly maybe letting it grow and expand where it naturally wants to expand to.
Rejoicing in your own heart energy and if you like you can get to know it better by seeing it more clearly in your mind's eye.
What does your heart space look like right now?
What colour does your heart energy have?
What does your heart energy sound like?
Is there maybe a melody or another sound that you can hear?
Can you perceive a particular smell in your heart space?
Or even a particular taste?
And allow yourself to be very playful and rejoice in your unique heart energy knowing that your heart is so glad that it's getting all this loving attention from you.
Now that you have each other's attention then ask your heart is there anything my dear heart that you want me to know?
Then open up to letting your heart show you or tell you and simply listen or witness what it wants you to know.

But maybe reaching even beyond that if that feels right and effortless Maybe imagining that your heart Shares its light like a lighthouse you Maybe putting that hand over your heart again to really bring all that beautiful heart energy back into your heart back into your body Knowing that you can expand it whenever you want to and feel like it and Then allowing yourself to be exactly as you are allowing your experience to be exactly as it just was you
