Another episode inspired by a recent live session,
We have been on a deep dive all month on the topic of self-love.
And this episode enhances your experience of what it means to love yourself.
Self-compassion and kindness is self-love.
We cannot wholly embody loving ourself without these.
So before we dive in,
I ask the question of you that I asked of everyone in this recent live.
How do you define self-compassion?
How do you define kindness?
And as I share my wisdom with you,
Think about your definitions and how you can make them more personal,
More meaningful to you,
That you will practice self-compassion and kindness as an outpouring of how you live your life.
There are formal definitions for compassion and kindness.
I will share these with you first,
And then the definitions that I encourage you to embody that are of a spiritual nature.
To feel compassion for another is to feel for their situation and for them,
And to want to help rid them of their suffering.
Compassion directed inward is a sympathetic consciousness and a desire to alleviate your suffering.
Kindness is also sympathetic,
Forbearing,
And a helpful nature.
It is how we aim to be in the world and of course with ourselves.
As I share with you the words to describe and live self-compassionately and with kindness,
Think about how you can do this for yourself.
There is brilliance in love,
Love that cherishes a higher ground,
That offers the new habits that become your fundamental nature,
And the love that you exist as.
This is,
If you are on a journey of self-love,
The love that you seek to express and be in all moments,
For this love is the fragrant truth of your heart wide open.
There is only wonder and love before you,
Before each one of us.
We adopt a pattern of living and we never look back,
That is,
Until something on our path invites us to look again,
To look deeper,
To be hesitant to do what you have always done,
And instead to consider the gifts that life holds in store for you through change,
Through your willingness to transform action,
Through deliberate and conscious acts of sacred power,
Power that you hold in your willingness to choose,
To choose to always do the right thing.
All of life lives here with you,
And in the offerings of simple kindness and love that bring to you a life that upholds your power,
To live in the sanctity of now,
Of promise,
Of truth.
You and the brilliance of your love directed inward are the consistent messages of kindness and compassion.
Compassion is heartfelt words and actions that deliberately hold you open to grace,
To your own sense of well-being,
To the truth of integrity that holds you near,
And of the love that you desire to feel.
When we practice deliberate acts of kindness unto ourselves,
We feel privileged and special.
We enjoy the benefit of our heart open in self-love.
This is also the path of grace that nourishes our being,
That allows for an expansiveness to honor the truest form of what we are.
Your grace and love are the ways in which you give nourishment to yourself.
It is through the love and comfort of the Divine that you realize your worth.
You hold its significance,
Drawing it near you.
The love of the Divine is the grace of your soul following you into perfection,
Into love,
Into all of life as your certain destiny.
You have the gifts calling unto you towards this.
As you live in the perfect wonder of peace and happiness,
Believe in your worth.
Believe in the perfect ideas of grace and love that live within you,
That become your lessons of light and the honor of Divine promise that you are here to live.
The ways that we best live in self-compassion is through daily acts of kindness.
Compassion is the ability to hold and measure the love of pure,
Positive energy and the willingness of grace to lead you.
Grace is the immeasurable action of unconditional love that fills your being.
This is the love that you honor as your significant presence,
Each and every time that you follow where your heart leads.
This may feel like an impulse or a desire to do something that is good for you,
That supports your inner desires,
And also the ways in which love transforms you.
Compassion is the heartfelt choices and blessings that you were born knowing,
That you instinctively sought out for yourself.
Your nature to be love is instinctual.
Your learned beliefs,
Including any criticism and self-judgment,
Are the only measure of what you create in the absence of this love.
When we instead uphold compassion and kindness toward ourselves as practices of self-love,
We are nourishing the patterns of what is instinctual.
Your instinct is to love,
To be kind,
To feel peace from within,
And to deepen the ties you hold to all of this love.
This is your own.
It is here for you.
When we allow the teachings and beliefs of what is based in fear and ego to persist,
We close ourselves off from the beautiful nature of the divine that we are.
This is why we can feel alone,
Lonely,
Afraid,
Undeserving,
Unlovable,
Not good enough.
The list is both relentless and damaging.
All that we imagine is the absence of love that we once felt.
We are often unsure of how this has happened.
Anxiety and fear replace self-trust and belief.
The world becomes an untrusting place in which others create and carry out harm and acts of violence and war.
This all perpetuates what information we have been given,
And we grow ever increasingly further from our capacity to know the truth.
Still,
Somewhere within us,
We yearn,
We look for what we can identify with and believe that makes real sense.
This allows us to be filled with grace and happiness and harmony and not the indignities of what others express as unkindness,
Injustice,
And hatred.
Love will always be here for you.
You are,
At your core,
Love.
Love lives as you look inward rather than externally.
You find and reclaim what you once knew.
This is how you come alive in the brilliance of life that you live and know,
For honor is always the grace of your heart open in love and receiving the pure positive love of the divine.
Honor is the self-expression of happiness felt when you align with the certainty of truth.
Compassion is this love.
It is love felt in the pureness of grace for one another.
Compassion is an expression of wholeness as you open yourself to the goodness of your pure nature and the non-physical aspects that live within you as you seek the countless ways that you are one with this beautiful inner nature,
This divine essence,
And the pure positive energy of love.
This is how you remember what is true.
As the world's people begin to remember and to live by the truth of the divine,
Love reigns.
It reigns in your heart and mind,
And it influences and directs in peaceful and loving ways that uphold true compassion and love and certainty.
This is how the world becomes a consistently different place.
This is what we live as heaven on earth.
So right about now,
I would invite you to revisit your definitions of self-compassion and kindness,
And for all that you've heard me say here,
Is there anything more that you want to add to make your definitions complete,
To bring them into your heart as a way of living and a way of life that you will choose from this moment forward?
That is my hope for you,
That you will have this beautiful way of honoring yourself in self-love through kindness and self-compassion.
And of course,
If you would like my help in any way to do this,
Please reach out to me.
Compassion and kindness are so much a part of the love of self.
When you are loving,
You are kind.
When you are compassionate,
You are being love and loving.
The ways in which you best practice compassion and kindness is to live with your heart completely open.
You may have been taught to close your heart.
You may have learned that you need to approach life and situations in self-protection and self-preservation.
When you instead honor the grace that you are,
And as you live of this grace,
Life becomes for you this beautiful,
Replete series of examples of proof.
Love is the path.
It is the true wonder of conviction that you want to live consistently.
Compassion and kindness are the supports that nourish you and reinforce your worthiness to be love,
To love yourself,
And to live with this honor and dignity as your perfection.
My homework question for you as we sign off is this.
How will you choose compassion and kindness for yourself?
Think of at least three ways to do this and to make this your daily practice.
Thank you so much for joining me here in this beautiful journey and sojourn into self-love.
I will see you in the next episode.
Sending you great love and love for yourself.
This is Dorothy Sonori Juneau.
