Be in the space of your heart.
Just be here.
What do you notice?
In most cases we live distracted by the thoughts of the mind.
Reacting to our feelings without true understanding as to what is really beneath the uncomfortable,
Difficult,
Even painful emotions that continue to live at the surface.
Careful first steps of self-awareness is to seek ongoing knowledge and information derived from accurate self-observation and the willingness to see oneself honestly.
To observe one's thoughts,
Feelings,
And actions in the present moment accurately.
This is how you build a relationship of ongoing self-discovery and self-knowledge.
Think of it as being the careful observer,
The witness of you,
Your inward thoughts,
Perceptions,
Beliefs,
And all that no one else hears as the ongoing narrative you speak.
As you notice,
As you become deeply attuned to yourself,
The guidance,
The answers,
The confidence in trusting yourself for what you know to be right and best for you begins.
You become less reliant on the influences of others.
You begin to uphold the values that you are contemplating.
Are these indeed your own?
Do your values need to adjust for who you truly are?
The self-awareness that you begin to experience becomes a calling to life,
A call to take action in what also liberates you from suffering.
Whether this is anxiety and fear,
Depression,
Sadness,
Grief,
Behaviors that are not helpful,
That create cycles of discomfort,
Self-sabotage,
Conflict in your relationships,
And you living not as your best self.
Self-discovery and self-understanding are what lead you into the true knowledge of who you are.
Your personality and the traits and characteristics you have acquired and learned,
This leads you towards knowing who you truly want to be.
Without self-awareness,
You continue repeating the same habits and behaviors,
And you continue to have the same or similar experiences that are not truly what you desire.
Self-awareness begins with your desire to truly know yourself and to be willing to learn what is causing you to suffer.
That is,
To experience the same difficulties in your relationships,
The same challenges in your life,
And to continue to feel anxious,
Afraid,
Unhappy,
Fearful,
And sad.
Now,
Let's go back to the beginning.
Be in the space of your heart.
Just be here.
What do you notice?
Therein begins your journey.
