Hi,
I'm Diane Pienta.
And I'm an intuitive teacher,
An intuitive mentor,
Course therapy guide,
And author.
And for years I've been studying and practicing and teaching really simple ways to come back to center when we're feeling maybe uprooted or ungrounded.
And so if you are feeling scattered or overwhelmed or maybe just have a lot of energy and you need to come down to ground and to center,
This is a practice for you.
So.
.
.
I'm gonna move back a little bit so you can see me.
And this practice focuses on our feet.
And so a lot of times when our energy is swirling,
When we're swirling,
We have a lot of energy in our head.
And so this practice is going to take us to our feet.
And so what you'll need for this is to,
If you can,
Take your shoes off.
You can keep your socks on or off.
And you're going to need a stainless steel spoon.
This might sound a little unconventional,
But stay with me.
And.
.
.
Maybe if you don't have one right next to you,
Which you probably don't,
You can watch this video and then go back and do it later when you actually have a spoon in hand.
So you're going to take your spoon.
And you're going to rub it on the bottom of your foot.
Can see that.
You could do it in a figure eight pattern,
You can do it in a circle.
Whatever will feel good.
And I got to tell you that when I was first introduced to this practice,
I thought it was a little nutty before I tried it.
And I thought,
What is this stainless steel spoon thing?
And.
.
.
The proof is always in the pudding,
Right?
So until we actually.
.
.
Try something,
We don't know if it actually works.
So you have your spoon,
You can be doing this with me and we can just do this together.
An airplane going overhead.
I hope that doesn't distract you.
But one of the things that's true about a stainless steel spoon is that it's stainless steel in general,
Is that it's a grounding element.
It's a ferrous metal.
It's said to have the properties of magnets.
And so just as in an electrical system,
Stainless steel is used to ground.
It's considered a very good conductor and a grounding element.
This is what we're actually doing with our feet.
We're grounding,
We're pulling down the energy that's maybe scattered in our head and the rest of our,
In our system,
And we're bringing it down.
To our feet.
You can switch to the next one.
You could do this with your socks on.
I have a spoon that a friend of me that has.
Some turquoise on it.
It helps to keep it out of the utensil drawer.
Although you can just wash it off and use your regular utensils too.
There's no problem with that.
So thank you.
One of the things that happens when we're stroking our feet and pulling the energy down.
Is that it's pulling it out of our very high thinking brain and our head.
And it's helping to ground us.
And,
You know,
Not even that long ago,
A hundred years ago,
We didn't have these rubber soles that keep us insulated from the ground.
So whenever we walked,
Even if we were walking in a city or city street,
We were still connected to the ground because there was leather.
Mostly it was leather.
Sometimes it was an animal hide,
But there was this connection that we've lost.
And so.
See how this feels to you.
One of the ways that I know that I'm releasing energy and moving energy is that my eyes will start to water.
And I'll start to yawn.
I'm about to start yawning,
So I know that there's some energy moving.
But see what it is for you,
Of how that works for you.
So I hope you have fun with this unconventional but super powerful grounding and centering practice.
I'm Diane,
And I hope you have a really grounded day.
Thanks for joining me.
