Hello,
Hello everyone.
Welcome to our Space on Insight timer.
I'm very happy to see you guys here.
I see some of you have joined this room and good afternoon,
Good morning or good evening to everyone.
Let's wait a few moments for more people to join this live.
And meanwhile,
Please guys let me know how you're feeling today,
How is your mood,
Your physical state,
Your mental state,
And of course where you are joining us from.
I am right now in Colombia,
In Bogota,
In the capital it is 12 in the afternoon.
Well,
If you guys can hear me well,
If you can't see me,
Please confirm it in the chat box so I can be sure that there are no technical issues.
And in advance,
If anything happens with my Wi-Fi today,
I'm very sorry.
I hope that it will go smoothly,
But if I disappear for a few moments,
I will be back.
So please guys do not worry about that.
Well,
And as you guys can see,
The topic of our today's live event is connection.
It is the second event of the series of connection here on the platform and this is the space,
The time where you guys can ask me any questions that you have,
Suggest any topics for the discussion,
And we will simply have both side communication,
The dialogue,
And if there is some specific topic or problem that you would like to raise up today,
So please also let me know in the comment section.
Please remember that it is a safe space for you,
For me,
For all of us to express ourselves,
Our opinions,
Whether we agree or disagree with each other,
Where we can be our true selves and just relax and enjoy our time together and nurture our souls and our connection.
So again,
We are going back to the topic of connection.
I wanted this live event to nurture this sense of unity and this feeling of gratitude for this space,
For our time together.
I am a big fan of Insight Timer myself,
And I've been using it for the past eight,
Probably years,
And I have been teaching here for the last three years.
And it is an incredible platform.
I know that all of you guys are sure in that.
And as these are free live events for anyone to join,
Your donations,
Guys,
Are very welcome.
They are a great motivator to continue hosting these live events.
It is a great indicator that it is of your interest and it helps to support the whole team of the platform.
So thank you guys so much in advance for your donations.
And let me briefly introduce myself.
My name is Diana Mirsaeva.
I am a MindBodyConnection coach,
A psychosomatic specialist and a meditation teacher.
And as I mentioned,
I would like these live events to be more of a discussion,
Both sides.
And if you guys do not have any specific questions today,
If you prefer to listen,
If you don't feel like actively participating here in the comment section,
Of course,
There is no problem with that.
Then in this case,
Probably we will skip most of the first part of our live event where I prepared some questions for us to discuss and to reflect on.
Of course,
I will share some of my thoughts and experiences on that.
And we will just move to the second section of live event.
So each event of this series will have also a guided meditation on the connection,
On some aspect of connection.
Each time it will be a new one.
And you guys are very welcome to listen to this meditation.
Also after our live event,
I will upload it into my profile a few days later.
It will be free and accessible to anyone if you want to practice it at another time,
Or if you want,
Please stay until the end of this live event where we will practice it together and also discuss our experience.
Well,
The aspect of connection that I chose for today's live is connection with nature.
And I'm not sure whether it is quite an obvious aspect of a connection,
But I'm very curious,
Guys,
And I want to ask you,
What is a connection to nature for you?
How do you understand it?
Maybe how you feel it and how do you perceive it,
Whether you are connected to nature or not?
So if you guys can share your thoughts,
Your perception,
Opinions on that,
So please do so in our comment section.
And let's take a little,
Little pause.
As usual,
A good reminder to all of you guys,
Please stay hydrated.
Okay,
I can see the comment,
Love,
It is from you.
I feel strongly connected with nature when I look at the night sky,
Sit in a park,
Or have a road trip in this countryside.
Oh,
That sounds very beautiful and really relaxing and peaceful as for me.
Yeah,
I can totally relate to that.
Yes,
Especially looking at the night sky,
I think it is accessible to anyone and everyone,
Very easy way to feel the connection with nature,
With the environment that we are in.
And even right now,
It is a cloudy,
But very bright day here in the city,
And I'm looking at the clouds outside and I feel that it is a big part of my life.
I love clouds.
It's first of all,
And the second,
It's,
Uh,
Even if the city is a concrete jungle of the neighborhood where I live in,
The clouds are always there,
Or the sun,
The blue sky,
Yeah.
Thank you,
Love,
For your comment.
Well,
To me,
I would say how I feel connection to nature,
Of course,
Being outside,
Being in nature,
Whether as love mentioned,
In a park,
I think it is the most accessible one,
Or,
Um,
Being in a hike.
So last week,
Last weekend,
I actually,
Sorry,
I actually went,
Uh,
To a hike that I wanted to go to,
I don't know,
The last year probably,
And I finally did it.
And it was so incredible.
Um,
I think my favorite part of it was being in a pine forest,
Because pines are,
And especially the forest itself is not very common here in Columbia,
And I was really missing it because it reminds me of my hometown as well,
And I felt so relieved there.
All of the,
Um,
Let's say negative,
Uncomfortable emotions and sensations that I carried with me from the past week,
The past days,
They all were released just during the hike.
Of course,
The physical activity helped with that,
But listening to the birds around me singing,
Even if there were quite a few people talking,
But it all was like a harmony,
And,
Um,
Avoiding listening to music during hikes,
I think it is very important just to truly feel that you are a part of nature,
Part of the environment,
Um,
And especially my personal trick to enhance the mind-body connection and to elevate,
Let's say,
The experience of being in nature is walking barefoot,
Uh,
If you have never tried that,
Guys,
I,
I strongly encourage you to do so because it,
It may be something that will light you up from the inside.
To me,
It feels just incredible.
And of course it can shift not only the mood,
But the physical,
Physical perception,
Physical sensations in the moment.
It can expand your horizons,
Your inner world.
So,
Oh,
Totally recommendable.
Well,
If you guys would like to add something from your experience,
What is connection with nature for you,
How maybe you connect to nature,
You're very welcome to do so,
And,
Um,
You can also share your favorite places probably to connect to nature,
To spend time in nature.
It may be anything,
I guess.
Um,
It is all personal and it depends on,
Um,
Each one's experience.
To me,
It is,
Uh,
Once again,
Just being somewhere in a forest or next to a lake or river,
If it is the ocean,
It's even better.
For some,
It may be just,
Uh,
Their garden or backyard.
Unfortunately,
I don't have this luxury,
But one day I would love to,
I would love to,
And I would suggest that not many of us spend enough time in nature.
And by enough,
I mean,
It will again vary on each experience or preference.
Enough to you.
Well,
How much time is enough to you to spend in nature?
To some,
It may be just five minutes a day outside somewhere on their commute to work.
If they're walking.
To me,
Enough would be probably a few hours,
Two,
Three hours on the weekend.
Uh,
To some,
Probably you guys need a few hours,
A couple of hours each day.
And it is all perfect.
We're all different.
And,
Um,
Of course,
I'm sure that we all noticed from our past that being outside in nature can be very healing and very supportive experience.
So if you guys can remember an example of when nature was,
Was helping you probably to overcome some challenges or to make it feel better,
Let's remember those,
Those times and appreciate them and,
Uh,
Express thankfulness to nature for those experiences.
To me,
I think the most,
The brightest experience that I can remember,
Um,
It was after we said goodbye to each other with the,
One of my closest people in life,
Because we are living in different countries and we are never sure when we can see each other again.
I'm a digital nomad,
So I guess it explains everything.
And,
Um,
After we said goodbye to each other and it was time to,
To just leave,
I went to park to process all the time that we spent together to appreciate every moment,
Uh,
That I enjoyed of this,
Uh,
Connection to this person.
And I remember just lying down on the grass in a park under bright sky,
Bright sun and feeling the,
The wind on my skin and feeling the support of the ground beneath me,
Beneath my back and knowing that even if,
Uh,
A beautiful chapter probably ended and there is total uncertainty about the future,
I have support right now at this moment.
And I was thanking the ground,
Thanking the birds singing the songs around and the wind playing in the leaves of the trees.
And I truly felt that I wasn't alone and that I was a part of this space of the park and just seeing the bright green lush nature around me and how alive everything was during that day.
It gave me a lot of support and a lot of confidence in the present moment,
Probably not in the future,
But it eased my anxiety and,
Um,
Helped me to shift my perception of the situation.
Emotions that I was experiencing to relax into,
Into trust.
Sorry,
Again,
If you guys have anything to share related to the topic of connection with nature,
Please do so.
I would really appreciate that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Thank you guys for your hearts so you can see them.
Perfect.
And if you are now somewhere inside,
Perhaps in your office or at your home,
And you're feeling a little bit lonely,
You can always reach out to me and I will help you.
And if you are now somewhere inside,
Perhaps in your office or at your home,
Just look through the window and I'm sure that you will notice some,
Some pieces of nature there.
I can see some trees and plants and balconies and rooftops of the buildings.
I,
Again,
Can observe the clouds and the blue sky,
The mountains in the background.
The concrete jungle,
It is all blended into nature.
Not the nature blended into the city,
But vice versa.
And just,
Just observe the pieces of nature around you that are available to you now.
Perhaps these are your plants at home or the flowers,
If you like to keep them.
It will all provide you not only a sense of connection,
But support and a sense of unity.
I'm pretty sure.
And if you can tap into this experience deeper,
This is actually what we are going to do in the guided meditation at the end of this live event.
And of course,
I would like to point out and to reflect on the benefits of being connected on or feeling connected to nature.
They might be quite obvious ones,
Other ones,
Perhaps very personal to you.
And if you guys have something in your mind to share,
What are the benefits of being connected What are the benefits of being connected and feeling connected to nature for you?
Well,
To me,
I think the biggest advantage of feeling and knowing this connection and especially being in nature is easing the worries and lowering the levels of anxiety.
And I'm sure it's not only for me.
But it's a common advantage that many of us experience being outside.
And if you've ever experienced that,
That shift from an anxious state to just being more,
At least a little bit more present into your body,
Into the moment,
Thanks to nature.
I'm pretty sure you guys can relate to that.
Apart from easing and lowering the levels of anxiety,
Of course,
It is a stress reduction.
It can help you improve your immune system.
There have been lots of researches done and proven that that is one of the biggest advantages of being in nature,
Outside or connected to nature and even lowering blood pressure.
So quite specific physical advantage and health advantage.
If we talk about emotional health,
It can also ease our depression and again,
The stress and worries that we may experience in life at the moment or chronically,
Constantly.
If we are speaking about cognitive benefits,
The mental,
Let's say,
Benefits of being connected to nature,
It's improved concentration and focus,
Enhanced levels of creativity and better memory.
So please guys,
Take note of these benefits and allow yourself the luxury of spending at least a few minutes a day in nature or connecting to nature,
Whatever it may mean to you.
Whether you have anything to add about the benefits of nature in your life,
Please do so and share it with us.
All right,
Well,
I assume that you guys are already relaxing into this state,
Probably.
If we are just talking about nature,
Probably imagining it or looking at some pieces of nature outside through the window,
Probably there is no rush in using the comment section or texting here now.
Well,
And let's then move to our guided meditation.
Once again,
This live event will be uploaded as a free track here on InsaneTimer.
So please guys,
Make sure to follow my page so you will stay tuned,
You will not miss the future live events on other aspects of connection.
Also,
A little announcement,
This week or next week,
I will be doing a live meditation session.
So next weekend,
I will be hosting a mind-body connection session here on InsaneTimer as a live event.
Again,
It will be free for everyone to join,
To experience it probably for the first time or to deepen,
To enhance your mind-body connection.
It will last about one hour,
Probably a little bit longer.
On the topic of dealing with anger,
Which is a very hot topic for everyone,
I'm sure,
And it is related to everyone's life.
So it will be very useful if it is of your interest,
Guys,
To make your relationship with the anger healthier or to find the ways to deal with anger healthier ways.
So please,
I invite you to join this live event of mine again this or next weekend.
And well,
Let's move to our guided meditation on the topic of connecting with nature.
Please close your eyes and sink a little bit deeper and more comfortably into your seat.
You may practice it lying down.
Take a few deep breaths,
Sending the fresh air deep into your belly,
Expanding it,
Relaxing all the muscles and organs there,
And breathing out,
Probably with a sigh.
And let's repeat and take another breath into your belly and trace how the air flows in and out,
Cleansing everything from the inside.
And a third deep breath in.
Imagine that you're breathing in with your whole body and releasing everything through the pores of your skin.
Imagine yourself being on a beautiful hike surrounded by nature.
Are you in a lush green forest,
A serene meadow,
Or majestic mountain range?
Pick your place and fully arrive there.
Visualize the sights,
The sounds,
And the smells of your favorite natural environment.
What colors do you see?
What do you hear?
Can you smell the fresh air,
The scents of nature,
And the sounds of nature?
Perhaps pine trees or flowers or the salty ocean breeze?
Feel the sun warming your skin,
The wind playing with your hair,
And the ground beneath your foot.
If you dare,
Take off your shoes and place both of your feet onto the bare ground.
Notice the texture of the path,
The crunch of the leaves,
Or the softness of the grass.
Feel deep connection with the natural world around you.
See and feel yourself as a part of nature,
Interconnected with all living things.
And just as trees draw nourishment through the earth,
And the birds soar through the sky,
You're also part of this intricate web of life.
Let go of any thoughts,
Of any worries,
And simply be present in this moment in nature.
Allow yourself to merge with the natural world,
Becoming one with the trees,
The animals,
With the earth itself.
Feel the energy of nature flowing through you,
A sense of connection with all living things.
Feel the energy of nature flowing through you,
A sense of peace and harmony.
Let go of any separation or division.
There is no such thing.
And embrace the interconnectedness with all the beings.
Breathe deeply and savor the air around you.
Focus on your senses and the sensations of being here in nature.
Notice the sights,
Sounds,
Smells,
Tastes,
And touch sensations that surround you.
Now you can experience anything that you want to experience in nature.
Feel the warmth of the sun on your skin and the coolness of the shade.
Listen to the birds singing,
And perhaps they want to tell you something.
What is it?
Hear the rustling of leaves,
The gentle lapping of waves,
Perhaps.
Smell the fresh air.
Smell the fresh air,
And the scent of flowers,
Or the earthy aroma of the forest.
Whatever it is for you.
Feel the texture of the ground beneath you.
You may touch the trees or the flowers that you encounter on your path or around you.
The soft and gentle grass,
Or the roughness of rocks.
Experience all the textures,
And enrich your experience there.
In your favorite natural spot.
Let these sensory experiences bring you closer to the natural world,
Connecting you with its beauty,
Its power,
And its life-giving energy.
Express gratitude for the beauty and abundance of life and nature.
Appreciate the intricate details of the natural world,
From the delicate petals of a flower to the vastness of the sky.
Feel a sense of gratitude for the opportunity to connect with nature and express its beauty.
Let your gratitude inspire you to take action,
To take care of nature,
Of your environment,
And protecting it.
Stay in this feeling of connection with nature and carry it through your day.
Let it be a source of comfort,
Inspiration,
And grounding.
Remember the peace and tranquility that you feel during this meditation,
And allow this sense of connection to guide your actions and your thoughts.
Try to incorporate more nature-based activities into your life,
Perhaps taking walks in a park,
Hiking,
Gardening,
Or simply spending time outdoors.
The more you connect with nature,
The deeper your connection with nature will be.
Simply spending time outdoors,
The more you connect with nature,
The deeper your connection will become.
Remember the positive impact that spending time in nature can have on your well-being.
Nature can reduce stress,
Improve your mood,
And boost your creativity.
Let nature be your sanctuary,
A place where you can find peace,
Renewal,
And inspiration.
Slowly come back to the present moment and the sensations in your body.
The sensations of your body breathing,
Sitting,
Or lying down.
Feel the heartbeat.
You may stretch if it feels comfortable,
Add some movement into your body parts,
And open your eyes.
Thank you guys so much for practicing with me,
For spending this time to connect with nature,
And of course,
To connect to yourself and to our community.
Please guys,
Share your feedback after our meditation in the comment section.
I would be very happy to get some words from you.
I hope that it was quite useful to you guys,
That you enjoyed this experience,
And it helped you to regulate your emotional and mental states at this moment.
Even visualizing nature,
Even just feeling the connection to nature deeply inside,
While not being in nature,
Can still bring us a lot of benefits.
So please guys,
Feel free to come back to this meditation later.
Please subscribe to my page here on Insight Timer.
Once again,
Your donations guys are very welcome,
And thank you all in advance for that.
If you have any questions,
You can DM me here on the platform.
I am always happy to connect with you.
I wish you to have a great day ahead.
Thank you guys for your hearts.
I truly appreciate that,
And see you next time.
Bye.
