Hello,
Sweet one.
You may be.
Searching for sleep right about now.
And it's hard.
And I get it.
But it's going to be okay.
How about.
.
.
You snuggle down into.
Your bed or couch or chair,
Whatever you can do.
To be very comfy.
And let's not try to fall asleep.
If you fall asleep,
That is absolutely fantastic,
But let's not let that be our Focus right now.
How about instead,
Let's just get incredibly comfortable.
In.
Your body.
So that whatever is underneath your head is cradling your head and you can release the neck muscles.
You can let the muscles around your eyes relax and let your jaw release.
You can feel that your arms can be heavy.
And warm and relaxed all the way down to your thumbs.
On your right hand and your thumb on your left hand.
And feel that relaxation spreading across your fingers to the fingertips of each finger.
And feel like a light switch going off.
The tension.
In your shoulders and your neck.
Feel the shoulders dropping,
Heavier.
Feel your back muscles.
Releasing.
Spend a little time here with your breath,
Breathing in and out.
Gathering up any tension on your inhale.
And just breathing it away on your exhale.
Maybe going into those areas of tension.
With your imagination.
As if.
This was a big eraser.
And you are erasing.
These areas of tension.
As you erase the tension in your shoulders,
You feel the shoulders soften.
As you erase the tension in your neck.
You can feel everything releasing up into your skull.
The whole skull releases.
And dropping back down.
Around the shoulder blades.
Under the shoulder blades and between the shoulder blades.
Feeling the right side of your back and the left side of your back and letting both sides.
Soften.
And the tension be erased.
And you settling deeper into.
The surface that is beneath you.
Feel how.
The chest.
Can relax in the belly.
Can soften.
You might start to notice that as you are breathing in.
There will be that rise of your belly.
And as you breathe out.
There's that softening,
That downward release toward the bed.
Your attention could go down into your hips and pelvis.
Feeling the tops of the thighs.
And the knees relaxing.
Attention going down the shins and the top of your ankles,
The top of your feet.
Let's go around each toe.
The tips of the toes.
Feel each one if you can.
And then softening and feeling the bottoms of the feet relaxing,
The toes relaxing.
All the way up the.
.
.
Bottom of your feet,
Your arches,
The base of your heel.
Your ankles relaxing.
Your calves softening.
Releasing any tension in the back of your legs,
Your hamstrings and your glute muscles.
So that really,
Head to toe.
The body is relaxed.
You might notice your mouth getting a little bit bigger.
More wet with saliva and that's totally fine.
That means that your body's starting to relax It means you're more inclined to be able to rest and that's what we're doing.
Just relax.
Resting.
Now that your body is more comfortable.
Let your brain.
.
.
Start to shut.
Off little by little.
Let all the things go.
Know that you're only thing that you need to be doing right now is to be here.
Not even to sleep.
Just.
To rest.
Notice space between the thoughts.
Getting longer.
And letting your mind.
Wonder.
Not even tracking the mind,
It's doing whatever it needs to do or wants to do.
Let's remind ourselves in this moment you are held and safe and loved.
There are unseen,
Loving forces around you.
Protecting you and caring for you.
Rooting for you.
Let yourself in.
Feel the sway of the breath Let yourself feel the indentation.
Of your body.
Against the bed or couch or chair.
And feel yourself Hell.
Here.
.
.
Comfortable.
Safe.
Nothing to do.
Nowhere to go.
Rest here as long as you need.
I hope you have good dreams.
