Hi,
This is Dawn Piper with Free Range.
This is just a check-in for you so that you can get a little bit more present to how you're feeling and you can then,
You know,
Take care of yourself as you need to.
So,
Find a quiet place or a semi-quiet place and just let yourself sit for a moment or pause for a moment.
If you can close your eyes,
Close your eyes.
If you can't close your eyes,
You can just have your gaze look down and just sort of unfocused.
You might notice that there are sounds around you.
You might notice sounds within you.
Maybe your stomach will grumble or you'll hear some sound outside your space.
And just letting those sounds be here.
And we can scan the body from the top of the head all the way down to the toes.
Noticing what needs your attention,
What needs your awareness so that you can care for that area a little bit better.
Is there anything physical that you could soften or that you could give a little support to or even just a little love?
I mean,
The idea and the impact of just putting our hand on our heart or rubbing our arm,
It could be so soothing and so kind.
So you might take a moment and try that.
And then a lovely cleansing breath.
We can breathe in through the nose,
Fill the ribcage,
Front,
Back,
And sides.
Take a little pause when you're ready,
Exhaling completely all the way out,
All the way down to your toes.
You might do that a couple more times.
Cleansing breath in through the nose,
Filling into the belly and the ribcage.
And when you're ready,
Let there be that little sigh.
It can be very small.
And if you want to,
Maybe just add one more in,
In through the nose,
Fill the lungs.
Notice how good it is to be alive and exhale.
Notice any of the emotions that are with you,
That are accompanying you here,
That are tagging along.
Maybe name them,
Oh,
Hello,
Impatience,
Or oh,
Hello,
Sadness,
Or maybe there's joy.
Whatever it is that you are noticing,
Notice,
Let them be here.
If you feel playful,
You can imagine these emotions with you.
Maybe you're at the park,
Maybe you are on a merry-go-round,
And you can have all of your emotions sit with you as you take a few turns around on the equipment and let yourself be a little playful.
We don't always have to be so demanding or so harsh with our emotions and so painfully present to them,
Right?
We can just let them come to us of their own accord.
Let them bubble up a little bit.
Let them be more spontaneous.
If there's anything that's been weighing on your mind,
Take a moment,
Notice that.
Maybe there's something that would be good to release.
Maybe you've been holding on to something that you no longer need to hold on to.
Maybe you need to set it down for a while.
Whatever you need to do,
Take a moment,
Just three or four more breaths,
Just to be here.
Nothing to do,
Just be.
You have all of the answers that you need within you.
Remember your power,
Remember your wisdom,
And as always,
Remember your goodness.
I am wishing you well.
Take really good care,
And I'll check back in with you soon.
Bye-bye.
