Find a comfortable position lying down and allow your body to fully rest on the surface beneath you.
Take a deep breath in and exhale slowly releasing any tension from your day.
If it feels comfortable you can close your eyes.
As you allow your breath to find a steady and natural rhythm begin to visualize yourself walking barefoot along a quiet beach at sunset.
Feel the soft sand beneath your feet,
Warm and grounding.
Hear the gentle rhythm of the waves.
Inhale slowly drawing in the fresh and salty air and exhale letting go of any tension or worries.
Notice the colors of the sunset.
Soft pink,
Warm orange,
And gold reflecting across the water.
Imagine the warmth of the sun on your skin.
It feels like a loving hug.
With each breath allow your body to sink deeper into the bed beneath you releasing any stiffness or tightness.
Now picture yourself sitting or laying by the water's edge.
Feeling safe,
Supported,
And at ease.
Let the waves of the ocean mirror the waves of your breath.
Steady,
Soothing,
And rhythmic.
If thoughts arise simply notice them and return your focus to the breath and to the scene of the sunset beach.
