Refresh your body and mind with this cooling breathwork practice, perfect for those hot summer days. Using breath awareness, you’ll release excess heat and tension, inviting a cool sense of ease and balance into your body.

Transcript

Welcome to this cooling breath practice.

Find a comfortable seated position and rest your hands gently on your lap.

Let your shoulders soften and close your eyes if you like.

Take a few natural breaths to start simply arriving in this moment.

Now we'll practice a cooling breath technique.

If you can,

Curl your tongue like a u-shape.

Inhale and then exhale softly through your nose.

If you can't roll your tongue,

Simply inhale through pursed lips as if sipping air through a straw.

Inhale slowly,

Feeling cool air entering your body.

And then exhale softly through your nose.

Inhale drawing in fresh cool air.

Exhale releasing warmth and tension.

Continue this cooling breath at your own pace.

With each inhale,

Imagine cool air soothing your body like a gentle breeze on a warm summer day.

With each exhale,

Release any heat,

Tension or restlessness.

Allow yourself to settle into this refreshing rhythm,

Feeling balanced and at ease.

After a few more breaths,

Return to your natural breathing.

Notice any shifts.

How do you feel?

Maybe you feel a sense of calm,

Clarity and lightness.

Take one final deep breath in and exhale fully.

When you're ready,

Open your eyes,

Carrying this cool and refreshed energy into the rest of your day.

Thank you for meditating with me.

See you next time.
