Welcome to your morning intention setting meditation.
Take a moment to find a comfortable seat with your back straight and your hands resting on your lap.
Take a few deep breaths in through the nose and exhale out through your mouth.
Two more like this.
One more breath in and as you exhale gently close your eyes if you feel comfortable doing so or keep a soft downward gaze.
Bring your attention to the breath as it returns to its natural rhythm and you try to let go of any tension from your body.
Allow yourself to settle into this moment.
Preparing to set a meaningful intention for your day.
Take a deep breath in and as you exhale begin to bring your awareness to your body.
Feel your feet grounded on the floor,
Your spine tall,
And your shoulders relaxed.
As you continue to breathe notice how each breath helps you center yourself more deeply in the present.
Let your body soften with each exhale.
Focus on the steady rhythm of your breath and allow your mind to become calm and clear.
And I know that's not easy and that is why we take the breath as our point of focus.
Now bring to mind what you would like to focus on today.
Ask yourself what do I need today?
How do I want to feel?
What energy or mindset will guide me?
This intention could be a feeling such as peace,
Joy,
Or strength or a specific goal like focus,
Creativity,
Or patience.
Take a moment to reflect and when you're ready repeat your intention in your mind.
For example,
You may say I choose to be present and focused in everything I do today or I will embrace each moment with gratitude.
Let this intention resonate within you.
Feel it in your body,
In your breath,
And in your heart.
Now visualize yourself moving through the day with this intention guiding you.
See yourself calmly and confidently responding to whatever comes your way.
And as you hold this image in your mind silently affirm I am a person who is focused and I am a person who is focused.
Aligned with my intention today.
I trust that it will guide me in everything I do.
Take one more deep breath in and as you exhale release any doubts or distractions.
Your intention is now set and ready to support you throughout the day.
One more breath in and breath out.
When you're ready bring your awareness back to the space around you bring your awareness back to the space around you and gently open your eyes.
