Blessings and welcome to the path to freedom,
Which is all about us waking up to who and what we are.
It is all about us allowing for greater and greater expressions of that who and what to emerge and it is all about us allowing for the peace and the love and the joy and the harmony and the abundance and the wholeness and the beauty and the intelligence that is inherently within us and that is inherently in every single moment,
In every single space,
In every single place to well up,
To erupt and to fountain up from the depth of our being.
The theme for today is nothing lasts forever and this has something to do with the challenges that we inevitably along the path of freedom,
Along the path of awakening that we move through.
We cannot grow,
We cannot expand without moving through challenges.
Each and every single challenge is but a blessing and a gift of transformation.
Sometimes it is easy to see and sometimes it is not that easy to see.
But nonetheless,
They're still the same divine gifts and blessings.
But during the times when we perhaps cannot see it and even if we can see it,
Even if we can perceive and even if we understand and even if we know and feel that something wonderful is happening,
Sometimes from time to time we wish that we could just get it over with.
We could sort of fast forward to the end of the challenge,
To the part where we emerge from the challenge when we have grown through it.
But as each and every single moment offers an opportunity for us to grow,
We need to honor each step and stage.
We need to trust that we don't have to,
But we're wise to trust the divine timing of everything.
That each challenge will last for as long as it lasts.
We're also wise to know and to come back to the understanding and come back to the realization and come back to the knowing that nothing lasts forever.
No season lasts forever.
No night lasts forever.
No plant,
No tree,
Not even an oak tree lasts forever.
Not even a star or the earth itself lasts forever.
Not even a solar system lasts forever.
Or the cosmos or the universes,
None of the universes lasts forever.
But everything is in a constant state of change,
In a constant state of expansion,
In a constant state of progression,
Because that is the nature of spirit.
Spirit is progressive,
Never going backwards,
But always moving forward,
Always moving itself into ever greater and greater expressions of itself.
In other words,
No matter how dark we may perceive our challenge to be,
No matter how minuscule the light that we are able to know and feel and see may be,
No matter how difficult a condition or circumstance or experience may be to move through,
To grow through,
They will not last forever.
But everything must come to an end.
Everything will come to an end.
Everything comes to an end,
Even our challenges.
Likewise,
And this is perhaps not as uplifting,
But it's still true,
That even the good times when we are soaring,
When we are flying high,
Even these moments,
Even these periods,
Even these stages do not last forever.
And I'm not saying this to bring you down.
I'm just saying this because we need to be prepared.
We need to understand that everything is in a constant change.
Nothing,
Nothing,
Nothing lasts forever.
And so the less we can attach ourselves to some future moment,
Or if we're soaring,
The less we can attach ourselves to this moment,
Into the state that we're in now,
The less dramatic,
The less turbulent will the emergence be.
And so,
And this will be the topic for another one of these talks,
But we're very wise to embrace and allow whatever is to be as it is for as long as it is.
Not holding on to thoughts or opinions or judgments as to what should and should not be,
But just embracing and allowing that which is to be as it is.
