You have arrived at the quiet edge of the day where the world slows,

The sky deepens,

And you are invited to do the same.

Yet your mind may not have received a memo that this is the time for slowing down,

To align with the hush of twilight.

So I created this meditation as a gentle,

Nourishing aid for your evening,

A space to help you come home to yourself,

Unwind,

And massage your mind and body with gratitude.

Enjoy.

Break open the space with the deepest breaths you have taken in your day,

Reminding yourself of what it means to breathe.

Allow these breaths to help sink you up with the slowing hours as the darkening sky calls you to embrace stillness.

Whatever may be occupying your mind right now,

Let it go,

Feel it receding further and further away,

As are any remaining to-dos.

Right now,

Your only task is to be present and rest with ease as the day turns itself over to night.

Let yourself land gently back into your body and feel this warm animal softness hugging you.

Let your jaw unclench and all the tiny muscles of your face to melt down.

Let your shoulders soften and your arms drop any weight you've been carrying.

Allow any striving,

Chasing,

Or performing held in your body to just dissolve.

Return to your effortless natural self and marinate in the simplicity of being,

Allowing it to soften your body even more.

Reacquaint yourself with the gentle sounds of your inhale and exhale,

Coming and going like ocean tides.

Feel the steady rise and fall of your belly like a lullaby.

Unify your mind with your body,

This body that has done more for you today than you will ever know.

Here's what you might have missed.

Your heart has beat more than 100,

000 times since you woke,

Steady and unshaken,

Without once asking for thanks.

Take a moment to allow your heart to rest and unlock any tension that it's been holding.

Take a moment to give a little thank you for your heart for its loyal unwavering service.

Your lungs rose and fell over 20,

000 times today,

Pulling in oxygen that fed your cells,

Weaving breath into energy,

Energy into life,

So that you could carry on as an uninterrupted symphony of being.

Take a moment to thank your lungs by gifting it with one smooth and unhurried breath,

Infusing love into its acts.

Allow your hands to rest on your lap with no agenda to carry anymore.

How many things have they held today?

How many wondrous textures did they allow you to experience?

They've given you so much,

Allowing you to explore and make your mark on this world,

To imprint your love on others.

So maybe take a moment right now to just thank them,

Kiss the back of your hands if you wish,

In gratitude.

Now soften your eyes,

These delicate orbs that have processed millions of colors and images,

Translating the world into shape and light for you,

Taking in beauty,

Information,

And the quiet wonders around you.

Allow your eyes to release any remaining strain and just allow them to be.

Take a moment to cherish them as the most precious gifts that they are.

Feel your skin now,

Gift-wrapping your body,

This incredible,

Living,

Breathing,

Permeable matrix embracing your body.

Your skin has regenerated over 50 million cells today,

Protecting you from the abrasive forces of the outside world,

Constantly renewing,

Reminding you that you are always in the process of becoming.

Take a moment and really feel the presence of your skin and maybe send it some love.

Now become conscious of the blood running through you.

Your blood has traveled more than 12,

000 miles or 19,

000 kilometers through your body today,

A quiet river sustaining life within you.

Take a moment to dissolve some gratitude into these currents to carry into every cell.

And now allow this relaxation to flow down the rest of your legs,

Pulling presence into your ankles,

Into every little toe.

Even in stillness,

You have been part of an incredible cosmic dance.

And even without noticing,

You have traveled nearly 1.

6 million miles or 2.

5 million kilometers through space today,

As Earth spun on its axis and hurtled around the Sun.

Take a moment and breathe gratitude for it all,

For this body,

For the Earth quietly guarding your existence,

For their quiet devotion and the miracles happening within you.

Feel awe for the simple fact you are alive,

You have lived another day,

And that in itself is a win.

And now,

As the night deepens,

It is time to let go.

The conversations left unfinished,

To the mistakes,

Worries,

Lingering embarrassments,

Or endless lists of things undone.

So picture the day as a bundle in your hands,

Every thought,

Every worry,

Every weight.

Gather it all up and now gently set it down.

Place it at the feet of this night.

Let it dissolve like ink and water,

Like footprints disappearing into the tide.

Breathe and feel what remains.

Feel the quiet,

The empty spaciousness inside of you,

Like a glowing moon flower,

Open and waiting to receive.

Tomorrow has not yet arrived.

There is nothing you need to do,

Nothing to solve,

Nothing to fix.

Only this breath,

Only this moment.

Rest now,

Knowing this.

You are held,

You are safe,

You are enough.

And when the sun rises,

You will rise too,

Lighter,

Clearer,

Ready to receive all that is waiting for you.

Amazing job showing up today to end your day with intention.

Thank you so much for listening.

Good night.
