Hello and welcome to this amethyst meditation.
Amethyst is a purple stone that is known as the stone of spirituality and contentment.
It resonates with the third eye chakra and supports our ability to tap into our intuition,
Release cravings,
And improve sleep.
Through this meditation,
You can uncover insights about areas in your life that need your attention.
Make sure you have a piece of amethyst nearby ready for you to pick up during the meditation.
Find a comfortable seat in a chair,
A cushion,
At your desk,
Or even outside wherever you feel most comfortable.
Let's begin.
Close your eyes and start taking some slow deep breaths.
As you breathe,
Notice your connection with the chair,
Cushion,
Or the floor beneath you.
Remember that you are sitting on top of the earth right over its center.
You have the support of the entire earth holding you,
Grounding you,
And guiding you during this meditation.
Notice how is your body feeling right now.
Are there any sensations within your body right now?
Then move your attention to your heart center.
Notice if there are any emotions sitting with you right now,
And then shift your focus to your mind.
How is the state of your mind right now?
Busy,
Calm,
Sleepy,
Or distracted?
We're not trying to judge,
Change,
Or fix what's happening,
Just noticing.
Now pick up the amethyst and hold it in your non-dominant hand.
This is your receiving hand and will be accepting the flow of the amethyst energy.
Take several breaths and just sit with the amethyst and feel it in your hand.
Notice its size,
Shape,
Weight,
The texture of the gemstone.
Look again at how your body feels,
Your emotions,
Your energy,
Your mind.
Are there any differences now that you've been holding the stone?
Then imagine a soft purple light encompassing your head and shoulders.
Sit with this image of amethyst energy for a minute.
Amethyst is the stone of spirituality and contentment.
As you sit with the stone,
Consider the following questions and if they may or may not apply to your life right now.
How do you feel when you sit in meditation?
Do you find it difficult to quiet and calm your mind?
How connected do you feel to your intuition and inner wisdom?
Is it noticeable and present or do you feel disconnected from it?
Do you struggle with any cravings,
Addictions,
Or something you just can't let go of?
Something you can't stop thinking about?
How is the quality of your sleep?
Do you have difficulty falling asleep or have nightmares?
If one of these scenarios stood out to you more than the others,
Then bring that back to you,
To your heart,
Your body,
Your mind,
And sit with that situation for another minute or two.
Imagine the purple light from your third eye area shining brightly and supporting you in this situation.
Notice if anything changes as you hold the stone.
We're not forcing or fixing anything,
Just observing.
Do you notice if anything has changed in how you feel about this situation?
How does your body,
Your heart,
And mind feel right now?
Any changes from when we started?
Again,
We're not trying to make anything happen.
We're just observing and watching.
Then release the situation that you were sitting with and the image of the amethyst energy and just come back to the sensation of your breathing.
When you feel ready,
Open your eyes.
