This meditation will focus on creating harmony and balance in your body and life by bringing your awareness to the seven main chakras in the body.
Think of an area in your life or your body where you would like to invite more balance and healing.
Perhaps you're finding yourself lacking in energy and motivation or overstimulated and scattered.
Maybe you'd like to invite better digestion or more clear communication with your loved ones.
Perhaps you'd like relief from some form of pain,
Whether that might be physical or emotional.
Wherever you find an imbalance,
Imagine that you will be bringing some relief to it in this meditation.
Imagine yourself sitting on a sunny riverbank in a peaceful forest.
This can be any type of forest that feels good to you.
It may be a warm humid jungle filled with warmth and teeming with life of all kinds.
It may be a sunny temperate forest with lush foliage and the sounds of birdsong.
Or maybe you find yourself in a boreal forest under the safe protective cover of strong ancient evergreen trees.
Take some time now to watch your forest come to life in your mind's eye.
What do you see in your forest?
What kinds of trees and plants are growing there?
What does it smell like?
Are there any animals that live there?
Can you hear the distance?
Now look around and you may notice a beautiful staircase leading down to a waterfall.
While this forest feels so peaceful and safe,
You feel an inner knowing that you must go visit the waterfall.
You count 20 steps into the forest.
As you take each step,
You can feel yourself feeling more relaxed with each one.
Let them know on every exhale,
I'm 20.
As you get nearer to the falls,
You find them even more beautiful than you first noticed.
What's more,
You notice a rainbow forming in the running water.
You draw nearer now,
Hearing the water sounds closer as you step into the pool of crystal clear water.
Stepping into the stream,
You feel the refreshing water running down your body.
After a while,
You seem to notice that the water changes color over time.
It seems to have a slightly reddish tinge.
You feel a sense of reassurance,
Knowing that you're perfectly safe and secure.
You feel more grounded as the water runs down your body.
And you seem most aware of the sensation of water from the base of your spine downwards,
All the way down to your feet and through to the earth's core.
You then notice the water has begun to turn a lovely peachy orange.
You feel a tingling throughout your body as you feel drawn to enjoy life's simple pleasures.
You give yourself permission to feel joy.
You notice the water around you and your hips,
Your lower abdomen,
Rinsing off those areas as you feel a sense of renewed life energy and creativity.
The water then turns to a golden warm yellow like a brilliant daffodil,
Rinsing off your solar plexus,
The area between your ribs.
You feel a radiance emanating from the body,
Like a ray of sunshine,
Slightly warming the water.
You feel powerful,
Confident,
And full of motivation to put your new inspiration into practice.
The water has now turned to vibrant green,
One of the colors you noticed in the forest earlier.
Feel the water rinsing out your heart chakra,
Feeling a deep love and compassion for yourself and for all beings.
You may find past hurts coming up,
Or maybe even feelings of shame,
Sadness,
Or grief.
Set the intention of forgiving what you're feeling,
Ready to forgive today,
And to feel whole and complete as you currently are.
As you do this,
The water transforms from the deep emerald green to the bright,
Brightest clear turquoise,
Rinsing your neck and throat.
Unclench your jaw now,
And feel free to speak and hear truth on soul level.
Release any illusions or untruths,
And any beliefs that are no longer resonating or serving your truth right now.
Allow them to gently be washed away into the river.
The water now turns into a deep navy or indigo.
Feel the water wash away any additional illusions or doubts,
Uncertainties,
Confusion,
And feel them gently washed away.
Set the intention that you will now be trusting your intuition and allow your inner wisdom to guide you in times of uncertainty.
You may now be feeling new clarity or insights coming up.
Just listen to what your inner knowing has to tell you today.
As the water rinses over your forehead,
You may notice the water has turned to a rich plum,
Shimmering now with violet light and white sparkles.
The purple light cleans you at the top of your head,
Healing your spirit.
You now feel this violet white light cleansing your entire body and integrating all of your chakras with each other.
Feel whole and complete,
Knowing that you are never alone.
You are one with the power of the universe and all sentient beings.
Feeling clean and refreshed,
You may now begin to draw your attention back to your body.
Take a moment to notice if any of the sensations in your body have changed.
Notice if any images or words have come up.
There is no need to judge them as good or bad.
Simply thank them for coming to your attention and now let them go.
Take three deep breaths and with each breath,
Become more aware of your body and the space immediately surrounding your body.
Finally,
Draw your awareness to the room around you.
Open your eyes slowly and take any movement that feels good for your body right now.
You may sit here in a few moments until you are ready to return to your day,
Carrying your new intentions with you,
Your new wisdom and insights throughout your day.
