They were all in Tucker and Leo's kitchen.

Could not stop sniffing.

Silly Cat giggled every time Tucker rolled him over and shoved his nose in his tummy and sniffed the deepest sniffs.

Kitty's paws that were on the ground.
He went in and out and around and around because at this point he was still so small.

Kitty said.

Silly cat just smiled and meowed.

Eventually.
He made his way over to Poe.
And Poe said,

He was waiting for more.

Referred to the color of Silly Cat.

Silly cat seemed to like Poe too.
Circled in and out and around of his pass while he was stood next to Heidi.
Were discussing the latest book that they were reading.
They happen to be rereading.

That is a surprise.

And he turned around very quickly and rubbed his nose in Silly Cat's tummy.

He giggled the loudest giggles.
Tucker went through the doctor.
And went outside.
Went over to his Buddha statue.
And started to dig.
Eventually found his magical stone there in the dirt.
A peak to tap.
Wiped off the dirt.
And held it up to the full moon.
The moon was big and bright in the sky.
Very big and very bright and that made Tucker happy because It's nice when they have moonlight on this particular night.
She appeared.

Her wings were slightly moving as if she was flying in the sky.

She smiled down and said,

Into their kitchen where everyone was dressed.

They looked so funny.

She wasn't dressed in her pretty dress.
She wasn't dressed in her gloves and her tiaras and her diamond earrings and her fancy slippers.
She was dressed in a peasant dress that was torn and dirty looking.
As if she'd been cleaning.

This really needs to change.
And then she giggled.
Mr Kitty stood next to her.
Was dressed like Prince Charming.
She's sad.
We will have to go to a ball.

And then he held out his hands and said,

As if she could magically change all of her colours,
All of her outfit,

This was Halloween.
She was dressing up the opposite to what she normally would dress up.

Kitty said,

And he kissed the hand that he was holding.
Like a true Prince would.
She swooned.
And Cherry said,
OMG,
How come they get to do that?
How come they get to be like that and I'm dressed like this?
Tucker looked at Cherry.
She was stood there with the funniest Silliest.
Mustache.
She had black eyes,
Like black eyeliner all around her eyes and a black suit with a white collar.
Oh I'm out!
Leo said.

Definitely with the cane,
She had a cane.

Why are we all such weird outfits?
This is horrendous!

He was in silent movies a very long time ago.

Tucker said,

He could barely walk.
His tiny little kitten legs were sticking out of the bottom and he was all puffy and blown up like one of those signs on the street that fly all over in the wind.
He giggled.
And just went over to Tooka.
Everybody was quickly figuring out that Tooka might be Silly Cat's best friend.
Sasha was wearing a 1920s maybe or 1930s who knows some kind of old-fashioned dance outfit she had a headband on and a pretend cigarette on a long stick Her dress was all swingy and swishy,
And it was all like dangly crystals.
Oh,
I like this,
She said.
She was swishing around the kitchen.
Oh,
Gee,
Cherry said,
Not fair at all.
Not fair at all.
Leo was dressed as if he was an old man.
He had a grey wig on that looked very funny because it was lopsided.
And Cherry as soon as she saw him burst out laughing.

OMG,
Yours is worse than mine.
His suit looked old and tatty.
He had a walking stick.
Just like Cherry.
But Cherry's walking stick was cool.
Leo's walking stick was just like an old doddery walking stick.
And he just kind of shuffled along as if OMG,
She said,

Leo had got pretend false teeth in.
This is a bit strange,
" said Leo.

Gave him a hug and said,

Leo blushed.
That's all he needed.
He didn't need anybody else to say anything else about his outfit.

They had Halloween baskets and bags.
They all grabbed one.

He had a bunch of glow-in-the-dark bracelets for everyone to put on.
He tied a glow-in-the-dark bracelet the whole way around.
Silly cat's pumpkin.
Because Silly Cat was too small.
But it fit perfectly around his waist.
We have to have everybody light and bright.
And it's a full moon out there,
So that's good because the full moon will make sure that the streets are light and bright.
And we have to all stick together.

Just like that.

But it was the cutest thing!

And then you put your basket forward and you hope that they give you candy and nothing nasty.
Leo said.

If they give you a granola bar?
That is nasty.
Everybody.
Everybody in unison agreed.
Who would give you a granola bar and get away with it these days?
Chewing on sawdust.
You go to a house and they give you a lot of candy.

But even if they give you one tiny little piece of candy,

And other dogs and cats.

The street was absolutely packed.
But there were also lots of dangers.
There was cars zooming here,
There and everywhere,
Dropping kids off,
Picking kids up.
There was also adults walking around.
A lot of adults were supervising their children.
The occasional dog walker was walking past and there's nothing wrong with that,
But you still have to be very careful late at night.
When you're walking.
You have to be aware.
You have to keep your eyes open.
You have to watch the street.
You have to watch for danger stranger or even stranger danger.
You have to watch out for everything.
Tucker was muttering all of this.
His head was leaning to one side so Silly Cat could hear him.
Silly Cat was now on Tucker's back.
Be trick or treated.

They stayed.

And they were very careful.
They didn't go up to any houses alone.
They weren't together.
Just like all the kids should.
These are lots of friends.
They said hi.
Everybody laughed at everybody's outfits.
No one knew what Cherry was.
They just thought Cherry was some strange guy with a moustache.
No one knew what Heidi and Poe were,
As Tweedledee and Tweedledum.
But,
You know,
It was okay.
I had a really good time.
Collected so much candy and then when they got back to the house they all tipped out the candy onto the island and everybody divided it into who's favourites.
They put all the chocolate together,
All the Twizzlers together,
All of the Sour Patches together,
All of the lollipops together,
All of the giant bars of chocolate together.
They divided it all and then Cause they're cool.
The ones that people didn't like,
They didn't have to have.
And the ones that they liked,
They could take.
And it ended up being perfect because.

Some people like some things and some people like to hear other things and it worked out just fine.
Took his head.

This is the most important thing.
We can only eat these chocolates.
When we're humans.
We can only eat these chocolates when we're like this.
Took a set.
And it wasn't until then.
He realized.
A silly cat had not actually changed into a human.
He'd stayed as a kitten.
Everybody was so into their own outfits.
Excited about trick-or-treating that but not notice that the magic hadn't worked on her.

I never even noticed!
I'm just so used to looking at him like that.
Do you notice that you've not turned into a human?
Silly Cat was completely unaware of anything that they were talking about.
He was very happy.
Tugger said,
Take all that stuff off him immediately.
He can't eat any of it.
Give him a kitty treat!
Leo said,
We don't have any kitty treats,
We're dogs.
Give him some milk!
Leo went and got some milk and put in a tiny little dish and put it down on the ground in front of Silly Cat and Silly Cat lapped it up.
Smiling away.
He said once again and then went back to drinking his milk.
Doo.
I'm not sure why that happened.
Maybe my mind was not ready for another little human.
Maybe in my calculations,
In my telepathica,
Communication with my angel,
She didn't understand.
Maybe next time will be different.
Maybe.
Or maybe not.
Maybe Silly Cat is immune.
To magic.
Ohhhh!
Everybody stood staring at you.
The new little member of the family.
Happily drinking his milk.
Completely unaware of the fact that He'd just missed out on being human.
