Tucker and Leo had gone to an adventure park with Bo and Sam,
Their friends.
The adventure park was kind of like.

An obstacle course.
It had climbing ropes.
It had bars that you can run over and run on top of.
Like a mud run.
Like something they would do.
The Navy SEAL Training.
Where you had to go on the obstacle course on all the different things.
That's what this adventure park was like.
And they've been excited about it for weeks.
Well,
Leo wasn't that excited.
But he was going.
He was going to try and be brave.
And,
Be like the park said,
Adventurous.
When they got there and they looked at the size of the things that you could play on and climb on and run on,
Leo was starting to change his mind.
Oh,
I don't know about this,
Tucker.
Said Leo.
Bo,
Sad.
Don't worry.
It's gonna be fine.
We're gonna love it.
We'll just do the things that we think we can do and we'll not pressure ourselves to do the things that we don't want to do.
We'll just take our time.
You stick with me,
Leo.
Sam was kind of like Tucker.
Sam wanted to try everything.
He wanted to run on everything,
Climb on everything,
Play on everything,
Jump off everything.
He was ready.
Tokazad.
Oh,
This is my element.
This is my absolute element.
I can't believe it,
Leo.
I can't believe that we're finally here.
I've been waiting for two weeks and I am in my element.
I tell you what,
If I was a person,
If I was an actual people person,
Then I would be like really really like um like a navy seal or something yeah like a navy seal i would be a navy seal i would be i would be um very very very athletic and I would be very brave and I would be very into doing all the travelling around the world and doing different adventures and jumping out of aeroplanes and all that fun stuff diving under under under boats in the pitch black I heard right I heard right that when you dive under those boats and it's pitch black down there and you can't see anything and you can't hear anything and these things that bump into you in the dark and you have to be sure brave because they could be sharks or they could be whales and you have to like hang on to a rope that threads you all together like little otters in the sea and you have to like breathe in a machine and Leo interrupted him and said,
Where are you getting all this from?
Uncle Mark!
Uncle Mark was a Navy Seal and he tells us stories all the time about Navy Seals.
And I think to myself,
If I was a people person,
Person people,
Then I would definitely have been a Navy Seal.
So,
And I heard,
Right,
That this adventure park is kind of little bit based on the Navy Seal,
Navy Seal obstacle course.
It's a little bit like that.
So,
If I can do this adventurous adventure park and I can do it all I can be really brave and successful and Sam's going to help me,
Aren't you,
Sam?
Sam said,
Yep,
Yep,
I'm along with you.
I'm doing it.
I'm trying it all because I would love to be a Navy SEAL when I grow up.
I think that would be awesome.
They sounded as crazy as each other,
Thought Leo and Beau.
Bo said,
Well,
Just be careful.
Don't fall off anything and just take your time.
Tucker said,
Take my time?
There's no such thing as taking your time when you're a Navy SEAL in the making.
Navy SEALs don't take their time.
Well,
Maybe they do.
Because my Uncle Mark said sometimes you have to be very,
Very,
Very,
Very smart.
And you have to use tactical techniques and things like that.
And you have to be a very,
Very good,
Good,
Good,
Good reading maps.
And you have to be very,
Very good at with like self-defense and things like that so yes yes okay I get it well I'll try and take my time but you never know One of the first things on the obstacle course that they had to tattle was a climbing rope.
Took a thought.
Easy peasy.
All four of them stood at the bottom.
They were all going to attempt the climbing rope.
When they actually looked up,
It was really high to get to the top.
And each climbing rope had a bell at the top.
So if you got all the way up,
You had to ring the bell.
Took his side.
On your marks.
Are you ready everyone?
On your marks.
Get on your marks.
On your marks.
Get set.
Go!
Everyone started to try and climb up the climbing rope,
Which was actually very difficult.
Surprisingly difficult.
There was definitely a technique involved,
And none of them knew it.
Leo gave up after about two or three reaches up and then decided he just slid down the rope and didn't get very far and gave up.
The bow got a little bit higher.
She was doing really well.
She was wrapping the rope around her foot and then pulling up and wrapping the rope around her foot.
Afterwards,
She shared that she'd seen it one time on a Ninja Warrior program,
And that's how you're supposed to climb ropes.
Sam did awesome.
He got really high,
Like about 10 feet high.
But then his arms and the muscles in his arms got really tired and he ended up sliding down the rope.
Tucker,
On the other hand,
Got super far up the rope.
It was a natural.
It was almost at the top.
Everyone was trying to encourage him.
Go,
Tucker,
Go!
You're almost there!
Go on,
Tucker!
You're almost there!
Tucker reached up with one of his paws and rang the bell and then wrapped his paw back around the rope.
And froze.
Eagle.
He looked down.
He didn't realize how high he'd climbed.
It was feeling to him as if it was like 50 feet high,
100 feet high.
It was super high.
And when he looked down.
.
.
It scared the bejeebers out of him.
Literally.
He froze,
Held on with all four paws.
And started shaking.
Oh no,
He shouted down.
I didn't realise how high it was.
I'm scared.
Leo said.
Oh no.
Sam and Bo were both staring up at Tucker.
The sun was shining down in the sky.
It was getting really warm.
It was about midday.
Poor Tucker must be sweating up there.
Bo had got one of her hands over her eyes trying to stare up at Tooka,
But the sun was blaring down in her face.
Don't worry,
Tucker,
She shouted.
It's okay,
Just slowly move your paws backwards instead of forwards.
Just like you did getting up there,
Just move your paws backwards.
Tucker tried to move one of his paws and because he was shaking so much it made him panic and he gripped a hold of the rope again.
I can't!
He shouted down.
I can't let go!
If I let go I'm gonna fall and if I fall I'm gonna smash into a million pieces.
I'm so scared.
Try and get someone that can help us.
There wasn't anyone else around.
Not that could could help them anyway.
There was a few people on the far end of the adventure park.
They were playing on a different part of the obstacle course.
No one was close by.
Leo said,
I'm going to go over to those people.
It might take me some time,
But I'm going to go over there and I'm going to get help.
I'm going to get help,
Tucker.
He shouted up.
Don't worry,
Tucker.
I'm going to get help.
Leo started to run as fast as he could towards the other side of the adventure park.
In the meantime,
Beau was trying to convince Tucker to just go backwards.
Just let yourself slide down the rope a little bit,
Tucker.
It's gonna be fine.
You won't fall.
Tucker tried to loosen the grip on his paws.
I can't,
Bo,
I can't.
I'm too scared.
Every time I slightly let go,
I think I'm going to fall to my death.
Oh,
It's going to be awful.
Oh,
I really don't like this.
I don't think I could be a Navy SEAL after all.
I think Navy SEALs must be very,
Very,
Very brave.
I think Navy SEALs must be.

There must be something wrong with Navy SEALs.
They must be crazy people.
How can they want to do this for a living?
This is the most scariest thing I've ever done in my entire life.
Life and I thought I was doing so good I was doing so good I got all the way to the top and now look at me now who do you who do I think I am I obviously am not a Navy SEAL in the making I'm more like a baker or more like a cleaner or something like that definitely not a Navy SEAL Sam didn't know what to say.
He kept staring up at Tucker and then just pacing back and forward at the bottom of the rope.
Bo kept saying,
Maybe you could,
Um,
Maybe,
Maybe you could just.
.
.
Just put one paw below the other.
Take your time,
Just one paw below the other,
One at a time.
Tucker tried to move his upper right paw under his lower left paw.
And he did it a few times,
But then it felt like he was falling again and he panicked and held on tight and said,
I can't,
I can't do it.
After a while,
Leo came back.
With two men.
The men,
Lookally.
Knew exactly what to do.
One of them held the bottom of the rope nice and tight and the other one climbed up really fast to the top.
Grabbed a hold of Tooka,
As if it was no problem at all.
Climbed back down with Tucker with his paws over his shoulder as if he was hugging Tucker as he was climbing down the rope.
It took a few minutes,
But when they got to the bottom,
Everyone cheered.
But when Tucker's feet hit the floor,
They were all wobbly and shaky.
And he was wobbling and shaking in his boots.
He looked up and he grabbed a hold of the man's leg,
Wrapped his paws around and said,
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you so much.
How come you're so good at that?
The man and the other man announced that they were firemen.
And they were used to climbing ropes and climbing ladders and doing things like that.
They were just there with their kids that day,
Having some fun.
Luckily for them,
Because they were the only other people there at the adventure park.
Tucker was so grateful.
So thankful.
He kept hugging on the guy's leg.
And then he'd stop and hug on the other guy's leg.

That was enough for the adventure part.
There was no way Leo was going to go on anything else.
Bo was definitely over it.
Sam was a bit disappointed.
But he was okay with coming back on a different day.
With maybe his dad or maybe their Uncle Mark.
He'd know exactly what to do on that obstacle course.
On the ride home.
Tooko was pretty quiet.
When they got home they said goodbye to their friends and Tucker and Leo went inside.
Tucker laid on the dog bed.
All quiet.
Leo lay down next to him.
Don't worry about it,
" said Leo.
We're not good at everything.
I said,
Oh,
I know.
I'm OK,
Leo.
I'm OK.
It was just a bit disappointing.
I thought I'd make a really good Navy Seal,
But you know now I'm thinking,
Oh I couldn't even climb a rope.
I'd definitely not be able to go under a boat in the dark with the sharks and the whales.
Oh,
It'd be so scary.
Yeah,
Dove,
Definitely not for me.
I do like to do lots of other things,
So it's not too bad.
It was just a realisation of it,
Leo.
It kind of made me sad a little bit,
But now I'm okay.
I just need to rest.
Are all red and and and rope burned a little bit because I was holding on so tight And then the thought of it took a chuckle a little bit.
And then Leo chuckled a little bit.
And then they were OK.
They got settled down into the soft,
Comfortable bed.
They were definitely ready for a nap.
The stress of it made them tired.
And Leo had not ran that much in a long time.
So he was definitely tuckered.
Tucker was tuckered.
They were both.
Took it out.
