Hi,

I'm Emma and today I'm going to be leading you through an affirmation practice for the waning moon.

So to begin,

Come to find your place of comfort,

Whether that's seated or laying down.

Waning time is a period where the moon has been at its fullest and is now beginning to grow smaller again.

And much like the moon,

Our energy has been at its peak and is now starting to direct itself inwards.

The waning moon is really a time to see what you need.

It's a time for self-care and directing all of that energy that you give to others into yourself.

So with that in mind,

As you come to close down the eyes and relax into your space,

I invite you just to ask yourself,

How can I make myself more comfortable in this moment?

Taking any last little shuffles and wriggles,

For you to be able to find stillness in a place that feels good for you.

When you have found this place of stillness in the body,

Now see if you can find stillness in the mind.

Release any thoughts as they come and just allow them to flow gently away.

Drawing the awareness into the breath as it naturally flows in and out.

In and out.

I invite you to bring a hand onto the belly and the other hand onto the chest as you really begin to tune into the journey of the breath.

As you inhale,

It feels the belly rises up into the chest and as you exhale,

It falls from the chest into the belly.

This circular journey of the breath,

Much like the circular journey that we go through with the moon.

This waning moon phase is the exhale.

As you feel the body collapse a little into itself as you release that breath,

We've just released everything with the full moon and now that little bit of space at the end of the exhale is where we sit in the waning.

It's where we've released and we come into ourselves.

This is a beautiful time to affirm what you are.

Now that you've set your intentions,

Work towards getting them and release anything standing in your way.

The waning moon phase just allows you to be.

I am present.

I am honouring stillness.

I am at ease in myself.

I am honouring my needs.

I am acknowledging self-care.

I am setting boundaries.

I am listening within.

I am at ease with myself.

I am embracing rest.

I am releasing all that no longer serves.

I am showing love to myself exactly as I am.

As this energy begins to draw inwards,

Use this time to care for yourself and to listen within to allow yourself to simply be.

You can stay here being with yourself for as long as you feel called to.

Thank you so much for meditating with me today.

Happy waning moon my loves.
