Hello and welcome to this wonderful meditation outdoors.
This is a meditation with you and with me and the trees.
And I really think that meditation can be done anywhere,
Wherever you're comfortable.
Oh.
Even depending upon the weather.
Eh eh.
Beautiful,
Beautiful opportunity to be out in nature.
So I am so glad that you are here.
I am Colleen Fletcher.
And I do,
I love trees.
So,
What I'd like you to do first of all,
Before we even start with anything,
Let's get that inner connection going.
So I'd like you to have a look at me.
And then I'd like you to have a look at you.
Maybe it's just an internal look,
Or maybe you can quickly get a mirror with you and have a look.
And I'd like you to have a look at trees.
You can look at these.
Or you can look out your window wherever you are.
Maybe you have a favorite photo of a tree that you can do.
And it's that inner connection.
And what we're doing.
Connecting with you and with me and the tree.
And this visual aspect is the first way to do that.
You know,
So often we can feel that we are alone.
And you're not.
They're all connected.
Two different expressions,
Three different expressions sitting together.
What I'd like you to do now.
Close your eyes.
Deep comforting breaths.
And no matter where you are,
Whether you are inside or outside,
Start with a little bit of movement.
So hands are pressed together,
Thumbs going to be pointed in the back,
Hands up.
We're just going to gently rock like the trees from side to side.
We're just gently flowing in the breeze.
When you're ready and comfortable,
Lower your hands down.
And with every breath you take,
Imagine that you are breathing the same air.
As the tree.
They're releasing,
We're breathing it in.
They're breathing it in.
We're releasing.
That inner connection,
That shared aspect that we all have.
Throughout this meditation,
Continue to feel that shared reciprocity.
Between you.
And the trees.
As that's what I'm doing here with you.
Sharing with you.
And this rhythm.
Rhythm of your breath.
Rhythm of nature.
And I'd like you to now bring your awareness.
Down to the base of your spine.
To your hips.
Feel this connection traveling down your legs.
Who is realizing that.
We have roots.
Visualizing these roots.
That are connecting down.
Now to your feet.
The ground you're sitting on.
Traveling down further into the earth.
Just like the tree's roots.
When you water around you.
Moisture.
Deep connection of the earth,
That connection that we have.
Knowing that you are anchored in,
You are steady.
You are strong.
You are vital.
You might need to visualize your roots as being just a thread color that you like.
Taking that down into the earth.
Taking these next few moments.
Feel that deep connection down your feet as you are rooted into the earth.
Being with the trees.
Continuing to breathe in.
And to breathe out.
Enjoying the sounds around you.
Knowing that everything you hear.
Continues.
Deep deep calm within your body that deep groundedness fight you now slowly start to move your body wiggling your fingers wiggling your toes Continue to feel that connection that you have with the earth.
That groundedness.
That feeling you have with the trees.
Slowly start to open your eyes,
Coming back to your full awareness.
Comfortably.
Get grounded.
And grounded and remain grounded.
Thank you so much for being here with me.
I'm very happy to be with you.
And thank you for being with the trees.
