Peaceful person,
Place and thing.
So hopefully if you've been doing the peace meditations this week,
Then you'll feel slightly more rested and able to deal with whatever life is throwing at you at the moment.
So this is a gratitude practice,
Essentially,
And coming off the back of yesterday's,
It doesn't matter if you haven't done it,
But we're just going to look at a person a place and a thing that brings you peace.
So let's get into a really comfy position.
It's Friday,
So maybe you just want to celebrate the end of the week lying down.
Just in a concrete chair.
And just resting any worries that you've got to the side for five to ten minutes.
And just bringing in some awareness of your breath.
Let's just focus on your belly.
You might want to put a hand there.
And just really breathing into your belly.
Some longer breaths.
Just to bring an extra element of calm today.
And as your mind wanders in different directions,
Just bringing it back to your breath.
And now feeling your body.
On the furniture or the surface beneath you.
Just really letting everything just melt away.
Any tension.
Any worries?
As if they're literally melting into the earth beneath you.
Disappearing.
And just leaving a relaxed body and mind.
This week's theme is peace.
So I just want you to bring to mind a person.
It gives you peace.
Somebody with whom you have uncomplicated.
Relationship.
You can even be a pet.
I just want you to visualise just sitting next to this person.
Just feeling that sense of peace that they give you.
Perhaps you visualise your hugging.
Or holding hands.
Or just being in their presence.
And you feel in your body.
How that sense of peace feels.
Perhaps it makes you want to smile.
And you can feel your body smiling.
Perhaps you can't feel it in your body,
But it just gives you a sense of peace and warmth.
That's okay too.
Okay and gently letting go of that.
And then bringing to mind a place that gives you peace.
This can be real or imagined.
Visualize yourself.
Being in that place.
And looking around you.
Noticing what it looks like.
What it sounds like.
And why it gives you that sense of peace.
Again,
Just feeling that in your body.
Just absorbing that sense of peace.
And then gently letting go of that.
And bringing to mind a thing that gives you peace.
Be absolutely anything.
I always think of the bath.
It's a place of peace for me,
Or my bed.
Thing,
It could be slippers or a cup of tea or A fan could be anything.
What gives you peace?
Visualize yourself with that thing.
Bring the details to mind vividly.
How it gives you that feeling of peace.
Feel it in your body now.
And just notice any sensations.
That are aligned with peace in your body.
Is it a warmth or a happiness or a calm?
Perhaps it's just a stillness.
What is it to you?
So bringing in that sense of gratitude for these things that we've focused on today.
In person,
Pet.
Just setting that intention to try and bring that piece into the rest of your day.
This is also.
.
.
Gratitude for yourself.
And having that thankfulness because you're taking time out to give yourself some space.
Just noticing that space inside you.
And as we're coming to the end of the practice.
Just feeling your body as it sits or lies.
Feeling that sense of gravity.
And the support and what's beneath you.
And taking a few bigger breaths into your belly.
Letting go of any remaining tension.
And gently opening your eyes.
Well done!
