I'm one of your therapists here at Delilah Counseling and today I want to talk a little bit about combating comparison.
The first thing is to celebrate your uniqueness.
This might look like accepting our flaws and saying,
You know,
These are things I can't change and I'm okay with that.
And it's also really focusing on your strengths and celebrating those as well.
Sometimes you also need to take a break.
Taking a break can look like setting a timer for your social media or just taking some time outside.
The last thing to remember is that being perfect is unattainable.
No one's perfect.
Even the people we see online are only posting the best parts of their lives.
Comparison is natural,
So don't beat yourself up over comparing yourself to others.
But I do hope these three tips help us to be more happy and content with celebrating ourselves.
