Hi friends,

It's Olivia,

One of your therapists here at Delilah,

And today I want to go a little deeper into something I spoke about in this month's newsletter,

That being the time change.

So for a lot of people,

And this was definitely the case for myself,

Thinking about this time change every year and how dark it's going to be so early really got me in the dumps.

Like it really didn't make me excited for my days.

I'd wake up and think,

Gosh,

By the time I get home,

Like it'll be dark.

But I really pushed myself this year to have a different mindset about it.

This year,

I'm really trying to be intentional with how I spend my days so that that is not the forefront of my day.

And I really,

Really push you guys to do the same.

Some ways I'm doing that is,

You know,

If it's a nice day,

Like today's a pretty nice day,

I am going to have my lunch outside.

I know for some people that is not possible,

But maybe in the morning,

So you're up a little bit earlier and,

You know,

Taking a little walk around the neighborhood or just having some time spent outside in those daylight hours is going to really make a difference.

Another thing I'm going to do for myself is planning things in those afternoons that are going to be dark that don't necessarily like revolve around that darkness,

Right?

An example might be cooking new meals and experimenting in the kitchen.

I know that's something I really like to do.

And so like tonight,

It's going to be dark early,

So I'm going to make a new soup I've been pretty excited about.

I'd love to hear what you guys are doing to kind of shift the focus on these days or,

You know,

What your thought is on how to make these days more intentional.

Talk to you soon.
