Welcome.
Take a moment to arrive exactly where you are.
There is nowhere else you need to be right now.
Nothing you need to solve.
Nothing you need to achieve.
For these next few minutes.
Simply allow yourself to be here.
Find a comfortable position.
You can sit or lie down.
Allow your hands to rest wherever they feel natural.
And if it feels comfortable.
Gently close your eyes.
Take a slow,
Easy breath in through your nose.
And slowly exhale.
Again,
Breathe in.
And let the breath leave your body without forcing it.
One more time,
A slow inhale.
And a long,
Gentle exhale.
Now,
Let your breathing return to its natural rhythm.
You don't need to control it.
Just notice that you are breathing.
Breath coming in.
Breath going out.
And notice what happens.
When you stop trying to change anything.
Simply observing.
Simply being here.
Bring your attention to the places where your body is supported.
If you're sitting.
Notice the chair or the floor beneath you.
If you're lying down.
Notice the surface beneath your body.
Feel the weight of your body being held.
You don't have to hold yourself up right now.
Lent the grounds to some of the work.
Notice the points of contacts.
Perhaps your feet against the floor.
Your legs against the chair.
Your back against the ground.
Your hands resting somewhere on your body.
Feel the physical sensation of being supported.
Now bring your attention to your feet.
You don't need to move them.
Just notice them.
Notice any sensations you can feel.
Warmth,
Coolness.
Pressure.
Jingling or perhaps very little sensation at all.
There is nothing you need to find.
Just notice.
Bye.
Slowly bring your awareness up through your legs.
Yo heeps.
Your belly.
Your chest.
Your shoulders.
Your arms.
Your hands.
Y'all night.
And your face.
Notice your whole body here.
Breathing.
Feeling.
Present.
And if you notice tension somewhere.
You don't have to make it disappear.
Simply acknowledge it.
You might silently say,
I noticed this.
And allow the area to soften.
Even just a little.
Thank you.
Now bring your awareness to the sounds around you.
Perhaps you can hear sounds nearby.
Perhaps sounds farther away?
You don't need to identify them.
Let them come and go.
You are not required to follow every sounds.
You can simply notice.
And retail.
Return to your body.
Return to your breath.
Return to this moment.
If your mind has wandered,
That's okay.
That is what minds do.
You don't need to judge yourself for thinking.
Simply notice.
I'm thinking.
And gently come back.
Back to your breath.
Back to the feeling of your body.
Back to the ground beneath you.
You can use the grounds as your anchor.
Every time your attention drifts away come back to what is physically here.
The weight of your body.
The movement of your breath.
The sensations in your hands.
The feeling of your feet.
You are here.
Right now.
Take a slow breath in.
And as you exhale,
Allow your body to become a little heavier.
Again,
Inhale.
And exhale,
Soften.
There is nothing you need to figure out in this moment.
You can let tomorrow wait.
You can let yesterday rest.
Fall now.
There is only this breath.
This body.
This moment.
Bye.
And perhaps silently repeat to yourself.
I am here.
I am safe to slow down.
I can come back to myself.
Again.
I can come back to myself.
Notice how those words feel in your body.
You don't need to force yourself to believe them.
Just allow them to be an invitation.
An invitation to return.
Return to your breath.
Return to your body.
Return to the ground.
Take a moment to notice your whole body again.
From the top of your head.
All the way down to your feet.
Feel yourself as one whole person.
Sitting or lying here.
Breathing.
Existing.
Presents.
Take one deeper,
Comfortable breath in.
And slowly exhale.
Begin to notice the space around you again.
The sounds,
The temperature of the air.
The self is beneath you.
And when you're ready.
Gently move your fingers and your toes.
Perhaps roll your shoulders.
Maybe stretch in whatever way feels good.
And slowly,
Gently open your eyes.
Take your time.
Before you move on with your day,
Notice this moment.
You came back.
You pause.
You listened.
You are here.
And remember.
You can return to this place at any time.
You don't need a perfect environment.
You don't need a perfect mind You simply need a moment to notice.
I am here.
Take one final breath.
And when you're ready,
Continue with your day.
Carrying a little more of this presence with you.
Thank you for practicing with me.
Namaste.
