Welcome to day 1 of this 7 day chakra journey.
Today we begin at the foundation,
Your root chakra,
Known as Muladhara in Sanskrit.
This energy center is located at the base of your spine and governs your sense of safety,
Stability and groundlessness.
When balanced,
We feel secure and present.
When blocked,
We may feel anxious,
Disconnected and unrooted.
Let's begin by arriving just as you are,
Into your body,
Into this moment.
Find a quiet place where you can sit or lie down comfortably.
Close your eyes.
Let this be your time,
Your sacred space,
Your return to the earth.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale softly through your mouth.
Again,
Inhale deeply,
Let your belly rise and exhale,
Letting your body soften.
One more time,
Inhale and exhale completely.
Begin to breathe naturally now,
No need to change anything.
Just notice how your breath moves through you,
How your body feels supported.
Bring your attention down to the parts of your body in contact with the ground.
Feel your sit bones or your spine pressing down.
Feel the weight of your legs,
Your feet,
Your hands resting.
With each breath,
Allow your body to soften downward.
Imagine any tension gently melting into the earth below you.
Let gravity do the work.
Let yourself be held.
Now,
Begin to visualize a warm red light glowing at the base of your spine.
With each inhale,
The light expands,
Grounding you deeper.
With each exhale,
You release anything you no longer need.
Imagine roots growing down from the base of your spine.
Moving through the floor into the soil below.
These roots reach deeper and deeper,
Connecting you to the earth core.
Feel how steady,
How ancient,
How powerful the earth is and how you are part of it.
You are rooted.
You are held.
I'll now speak a few affirmations.
You can repeat them silently or aloud.
I am grounded.
I am safe.
I just life to support me.
I belong here.
I am whole in my body.
Let the words land in your belly,
In your bones.
Feel the truth of them vibrating through your root.
Begin to gently bring awareness back to your breath.
Feel your body supported by the ground beneath you.
Feel your roots glowing red and strong.
You are rooted.
You are safe.
You are here.
When you're ready,
Gently begin to wiggle your fingers and toes.
Invite small movements back into the body.
Take a final deep breath in and exhale fully.
Thank yourself for showing up today.
Namaste.
