Goodwill.
Goodwill is a very important factor in achieving peace.
The spirit of goodwill can change the world.
Now over the holidays we often see phrases like,
Peace on earth,
Goodwill to all.
Goodwill is a compelling and motivating force for all of us.
It actually opens up a channel,
A pure positive energy.
If we're open to being receptive to goodwill,
Then we can also share and transmit that energy of goodwill.
And we can be a part of that flow that can help change the world.
It's a straightforward thing,
But it goes extremely deep.
It goes into our intent.
It goes into our motivation.
And the spirit of goodwill itself holds an energy field.
It's alive.
It's alive in our breath.
It's alive in the water.
It's alive in the air.
Every grain of sand of life has an energy field that resonates with energy.
And that energy actually is fed to us by spirit to our soul.
And when we're in tune and in harmony with goodwill,
We see the world surrounded by that song of goodwill.
The spirit of good is fed by love that's radiating and at work in the world.
Having goodwill helps the world and it helps each soul fulfill its life's destiny.
All souls find their greater purpose in time.
As we see the world enlightened with hope and love,
We find that goodwill is at the heart of all humankind.
We can tune into that energy.
We can feel that energy.
What does it feel like to see the world experiencing goodwill?
Well,
You can know that you have that goodness there within yourself.
And as you experience that pure goodness that is alive in you and in others,
You can communicate that energy that is from the source,
The good in God that's in you and in them.
And you can allow yourself and them to see that good that's alive and the spirit of good that lifts the whole world,
That lifts us all.
If we can believe in what that inherent good is,
If we can sense that wonderful energy in our heart and in our soul,
Then we can learn to be a magnet for good.
It's alive in the innocence that you see in a baby's eyes.
It's that energy that inspires a smile.
It's there when you have well wishes to share and kindness to share.
It's an energy field you carry.
It allows you to the best that you can be every single day.
This power of goodness is an attractive force,
A magnetic force.
And as we share it and let it motivate us,
We turn our lives and our little wills over to God's will.
And we let go of the ego and we let God be in control.
For the greater good and service holds the spirit of genuine kindness that is at the heart of all life in the mind.
Robert Vincio is a golfer from Argentina and he really displayed that principle of good will many years ago.
He won a golf tournament and after the golf tournament they gave him a check.
He spent a lot of time going down in the dressing room and getting dressed there and he was in no particular hurry.
And when he got out to the parking lot,
It was empty except for a young woman.
She approached him saying she didn't have a job and she had a very,
Very sick baby that was at the point of death.
And she didn't have the money to pay the hospital or the doctors.
So,
He did something amazing.
He signed his tournament winnings over to the young woman and he went on his way.
The next week he was in a country club and one of the PGA officials told him he had been a victim of fraud.
That the woman did not have a baby and was not even married.
And he said,
You mean there's not a sick baby at all?
And the official said,
That's right.
You have just given me the best news of my life,
He said.
It's the best news I've heard all year long.
There's not a sick baby.
Now,
That's having goodwill.
And rather than being a victim of fraud,
He was happy that there was no sick baby.
Now,
That's seeing the best in someone in spite of what you might have otherwise felt as very negative energy towards that person.
People of goodwill are those who think and act with that wonderful,
Unconditional loving and understanding that is of such importance in our world for the well-being of all,
Regardless of what we might be as far as being taken advantage of.
There's so many scams and so many negative things in the world that we become pretty cynical,
Right?
But world goodwill fosters past that cynicism,
The understanding of the importance of this energy and the role it plays in our humanity.
