A very big aloha.
My name is Reverend Cindy Pollos.
And I wanted to talk about the gift of being here.
And while we are here,
What love we can share.
It's interesting how time passes.
And our perspective of time changes as we grow older and we look in our time left and try to guess what's going to be coming.
And I think as you look on your life,
You start to realize what really is important.
And the things that stand out in that perspective.
Is whatever love you've been able to share in your life.
It's interesting how we don't always.
.
.
Become very conscious of it at the time.
But this can be a daily practice.
We can.
Take a look.
And be aware daily.
Of what it is that we can share and whatever it is of the love that is there.
And then the step that is so important is to.
Be able to.
Express it.
To be able to.
Get it out.
Because Often people are afraid or intimidated.
Don't find a way.
To be able to really share the love that they have for others.
And love is a tricky word.
There's so many infinite varieties of love.
So love can get confusing.
I mean,
I think that people feel safe.
In loving their family members or possibly their partners,
Their life partners.
But even with that.
It may not get expressed amidst the drama of everyday living.
And it is one of the most important things that we can express.
Nah,
It may just be,
You know.
Message at the end of your talk or sharing whatever you do with someone that you care about.
And I might just be,
I love you,
You know.
But then there's even a way to say that,
That really expresses it from your heart.
I have to give you an example.
I had a lifetime partner who passed away a year ago.
We've been together for many,
Many,
Many,
Many years.
But I- He had a problem and he actually had physical.
.
.
Major problems that were going on,
And I stood by him during that time.
Just a few days before he died.
He said to me,
I really love you.
And he said that for a couple of days before the last time I saw him,
And then he passed away.
That message that he gave of love.
Became so priceless and so important.
And something in him,
I think,
Knew that he had to express that.
Now,
If he had not expressed that,
I would have been missing something important.
And it made me aware of how important expressing.
The love that you have to others.
We don't know what's going to happen.
From day to day,
From moment to moment,
We have no way of knowing.
And there is this gift of sharing your love and expressing your love that can make a huge difference in someone else's life.
I think we all want to be loved and we all want to share our love,
But the fear that we have.
Or it could just be we're busy and we assume they know it.
But that's not enough.
That busyness and the assuming is really not enough.
As the gift of actually sharing love.
Now,
There's,
Like I said,
Limitless ways of loving.
And that can even be carried in the tone that you have.
You know,
When someone could say something and expect that back,
You know,
It's like,
Oh,
If I say it this way,
They're going to say it back.
You know what I'm saying.
If I say I love you,
Of course you're going to say back,
I love you too.
But that's not the same expression as really saying.
That you love someone for who they are,
For what they are,
For all they are to you.
That expression of acceptance and appreciation and the love.
Is a priceless gift.
And it doesn't cost anything except you taking the time to express it.
And so I just wanted to really encourage you.
Do not.
Forget.
To not avoid.
To not.
Just skip over this important gift that you can give without costing you anything.
Just an expression.
Of the love that you have.
It's a priceless and important gift,
My friends.
And sometimes we get afraid.
I understand that.
We get shy.
We get busy.
But there is time.
There's always time to take the time to express the love and caring you have for another person in your life.
And that wonderful gift and that sharing of that love.
Can make a huge difference to someone else.
So I just wanted to express my gratitude to you.
A deep bow of gratitude.
And I wanted to share the love I have.
That I have for all those who really take the time to listen and be there.
And I really appreciate that.
I truly do.
And I send you my love and my gratitude and blessings.
