A very big aloha.
My name is Rev.
Cindy Palos and I have always been fascinated with the journey that it takes to be at peace.
And we know that we can create peace within,
That it's very hard to create peace in the outer world.
But if we find that way to navigate and be at peace within,
We have accomplished quite an amazing feat.
Because when you're doing things and very active,
It takes a lot of energy and there's going to be all kinds of navigating and things and negotiating that happens.
And so you engage.
And when you engage there's people that want to do it their way or whatever.
Or there's things you have to do that may take a lot of effort.
And so that means that you have to understand that peace within,
That strongest place of peace within,
Can be used in your life.
If you can be objective and you can see with a higher perspective of what it takes to use that gift of peace within into what you're doing in your life.
Now that takes some skill.
It's quite a gift,
You know.
I love peacemakers.
I got a couple of peace awards for what I have done with my work and my talks.
And I have always felt like there's more to do to help create peace in the world.
And I honor all the ones,
The workers,
Of the giving of that peace or sharing of that peace in the way that they achieve that gift of peace with others.
It's a wonderful feeling.
I feel that way when I'm walking.
I feel that way when I'm meditating.
You know,
When you get past your initial thoughts.
You can get to that place of peace and stillness inside.
But then it's like when you're doing your things in your life,
In your world,
There's engaging things that always take a little bit of navigating to figure out how to get them done peacefully.
And that takes a lot of skill.
I think that being an objective observer and going to that place within where you don't engage with your emotions can be very helpful.
Now,
This is interesting because the emotions are a powerful force.
And it's natural to feel,
You know,
Things of what's right and what's wrong.
I feel this way about it.
But as soon as you engage with your emotions,
You can also cause another person to restore,
To go to their place where they may not agree,
Which will then create an interesting situation that might not be peaceful.
So,
I mean,
I always am amazed at the people who are skilled at being at peace,
Like Mother Teresa and others who can have that peace.
But then to add to that level of peace,
If you find that power of the Prince of Peace,
That gift of the Prince of Peace can be inspiring as well.
I truly see that this is a lifetime,
A lifetime of learning,
A lifetime of how you use and offer that peace in so many ways and how you can live with that peace in your life.
It's a wonderful journey and it takes skill.
It takes skill.
It takes observation.
It takes engagement and in a very interesting way where you engage without kind of sending off triggers or things and people that might get upset.
And so,
I really honor you if you are in this mission of finding that peace with them and finding that way to use peace in your life and to be at peace.
I'm going to share a piece I wrote on peace,
On peace here.
Ah,
Let all the struggles go.
All that you've been fighting for has worn out your weary soul.
Feel the ease of peace,
Of being in this moment here.
Let all the work of your life just slip from your shoulders.
Let it fall and disappear.
You are here right now in spirit.
You are here in this blessed space.
Let the light of the presence be with you and heal you with its grace.
Feel the ease of peace.
Precious child of God,
Let this very moment release you from all that you know.
Open up your heart.
Open up your mind.
Breathe in the ease of being here and let it calm your mind.
There is a peace that passes understanding.
You can find that peace right now.
Feel the ease of peace and let that light of the presence bless you now.
