God Is Love

This is a talk and deep meditation on why I love God, and how many people may not understand the energy that God's love conveys and how it all works. There have been many who have been at odds with the term God. I feel from my experiences, that if we really could experience and connect with God, we might understand the blessings of that unconditional energy.

This is a metaphysical and mystical interpretation of how I experience God.

There's a love that brings miracles about. There's a love that changes humanity. There's a love that opens the heart to understand the purpose for all humankind. There's a love that holds a light that in the beginning brought forth all creation. This is the unconditional love that so many call God. Some people have a problem with the word God. Some people may say universal mind, Ultimate source of creation, The creator. I don't know if it really matters if you use the word God, But I think it might matter if you have a problem with the word God that you get that healed and cleared because God is love. That love is the greatest gift of all. It's a love so strong in us that it acts like a homing device until it brings us into the source of all creation. It gives us a reason to serve and endure all of life's challenges. It brings about a transformation that is the holy essence that leads us to rebirth. Now that rebirth is celebrated as the birth of Christ within us at Christmas. That birth of Christ within us is always there. It can be celebrated at any time, But we've kind of agreed on December 25th, Even though a lot of scholars think that was not the time that Christ was born. There is a light more radiant than a million suns, A billion suns. It's a light that is the very name of God, The very essence of God. It is the living light of spirit, And you can bring this light into your soul. You can see the vision of Christ and follow the path through heaven's gate to the source of all energy. Christ brought that vision of light and love to earth through his birth in form. He was the bridge of heaven and earth. We can also be that bridge of heaven and earth. That's why he came to be an example to show how we could do that. We can know these blessings with faith and merge that vision of heaven with the unconditional love that God brings. So what is this gift? I wrote this poem, The Greatest Gift. The greatest gift was given long ago for you. The diamond within your soul given to share and know. At Christmas time, If you look inside, You might just find the greatest gift of love divine. It's a gift we all can know, Alive within each soul. It's a blessing of a love that never grows old. The purpose you find doesn't cost a dime. It's that love inside that you can not only find, But you can't hide. You can't hide that love. In the circle of our lives, We search low and high to realize in good times, It's right there deep inside. And when at Christmas time, If you look hard, You will find the greatest gift to give. It's the love for which we all live. So the gift of light and love of God was brought to earth by the Christ, The anointed one. Christ means the anointed one, With the help of Mary and some very enlightened masters. And this book and the album I created with Stephen Melillo called Love Conquers All is born from that concept. In the Aramaic version of the Lord's Prayer, God is described not as one sex, Not a man, Not a woman, But as father, Mother of the cosmos. One being, Not a man, Not a woman, Beyond men and women is this amazing energy field in the cosmos, The shimmering light of all. That doesn't have a sex to it. It's the shimmering light of all. And it says, Of course, In the Bible, In the beginning, There was God and God said, Let there be light. And from that light, All things came forth. Mystics through the ages have understood this highly profound truth about light. It says God was unmanifest as spirit in the beginning and that to have creation, God created light and from light, The first begotten of God as Christ came in Christ in Christian mysticism. All things came forth from that light. Light can therefore be thought of as the unmanifest spirit of God made manifest. Through meditation and divine revelation of God consciousness, Mystics have come to experience light. Light that divided itself into all kinds of various energy frequencies, All kinds of frequencies interacting with each other and creating various geometrical shapes and forms and all kinds of levels on the non-physical level of consciousness. It became the basic building blocks of energy foundations of matter or the physical world reality as we know it. Literally in an absolute sense, We are each and every one of us children of that light. We are children of God. We have that ability to connect with that source since it's right there in us. The great mystery is that light continues to live in us and we within that light. By increasing your sensitivity to the light, You eventually become with it in consciousness. That consciousness of Christ, The Christ consciousness, Awareness of it. It's the highest of all experiences that anyone in human form can experience for it is the primal energy essence of light itself. So many people do not understand that word God as I was saying. Many even have an aversion to it, But only God or universal consciousness knows and is living the living life with the concept that there is the personal individuation and the personal ego petition, Universal mind of God to join in the process of co-creating, Which is an illusion of sorts. It's a Maya. It's a creative energy field playing out a role. It's there to provide anything just because the will of the personal ego so desires. So we're given this amazing ego play, This drama that we live through in our lives. Only when the will of God or the universe is served, Will any form of the co-creative process with a human being ever be entered into. Now these are part of that whole solving of how God and Christ came to earth. There are ways through meditation and prayer you can connect with that God. Now I connect with it daily in meditation. I connect with it whenever I'm aware of that presence and when I'm aware of the beauty or the magic, The wonderful things that are happening, But we also can let God be there to teach us how to love, How to love ourself and be absolutely attuned to the highest energy so that we can heal ourselves and so help heal the world. It's an amazing thing how that energy of God can come and transform us and heal us. When you go into meditation, When you learn how to connect and have that relationship with God, Then you can learn to carry out that conversations with God in many ways to translate it into your daily life. This is an amazing thing when that happens. When you do this, You then mirror back your higher self to others and see that God within them and what a great gift that is to communicate soul to soul. We are all created from the light and from that one source of love. When we pray, We can see past all the differences in others and we can also see the similarities that we have because we are one. We can learn to see the spirit that lives in the heart of all people. That spirit brings us together in unity, The oneness to communicate heart to heart, Soul to soul with people. It's important to connect in meditation and prayer, Communicating with God so we can listen to the guidance that's presence to the presence there. The greatest present to give is that presence within you. Let's do a meditation and go into a place where we can open that channel and connect with God so we can listen to the guidance that is there for us to receive when we're open. So let's shut out the outside awareness and get comfortable. Let your spine be erect and close your eyes if you can. Just allow clearing breaths to come in with God's energy. Breathing in light and breathing out. Let that spirit come as you breathe in and allow that spirit to spread throughout all of your body and your energy field, All of every single cell and atom of your body. Let it be receptive to this light and love as you breathe in. Breathing in light, Just be present in light. Let's call on that light to come and be here with us this very moment. Calling the light in with the breath, Allowing ourselves to connect with that light as we breathe out and allow this energy of light to be in your mind, To be in your whole energy of your head area, To release any tension, Any thoughts that are out of control. Just let them go. Breathing into your throat center and allowing that beautiful creative center to be charged with love, That creative spirit of love, Love, Love. Breathing in that energy going into your heart of hearts. Breathing that energy of love into your heart of hearts and just dwell here in that presence of light. Allow that energy to continue to move on down through your third chakra and your second chakra and your first chakra down your legs and your thighs, Your knees, Your calves, Your feet. Breathing in slowly and releasing and letting anything that is other than light. Let it go and be released. Allow that light to go way, Way, Way up your spine and above your head and into the universe and come down bringing the source of all light and love down through your soul to your crown chakra above your head, Enlightening you. Breathing that energy in from the crown chakra and being there and seeing and feeling the light of the lotus blossom as you are there in your soul in that crown chakra. See it lit up with this amazing ultra-dimensional light. See it opening and blossoming and protecting you with a wonderful, Wonderful light that goes all around you. Now let's go into that place in our soul right there in the center of the lotus and just be present there. Breathing in, Breathing out, Breathing in, Holding, Pause and breathing out. Go into the silence now. Let's imagine there's a room, A golden room you can enter that is your soul's room and be present there in that light of the soul's room and just be present in the silence. That room is a big room of gold and full of light and absolute love and understanding. If there's anything there that you would like in this place, Allow a message to come into your soul's light. Breathe in an awareness if there's anything there and let that gift of communication be present in the connection that you have there in your soul with God. There's a thread of gold and light that you can connect with. There's a frequency. Just be aware of that energy frequency within your soul and as you connect with God, Allow that frequency to be purified and to be strengthened and to be enlightened. Now feel the expansion of that enlightenment right there in your soul. Allow any special vibration or energy field that you find there to be present. Allow that frequency that is your soul frequency to come and be present and come down through your crown chakra to all of your mind and your body and emotion. See it as a gold and pure thread of energy enlightening all of you, Your cells all filled with this wonderful healing golden light. Uniting with the one source of all, Knowing that you are part of the one whole. You hold the living word of God in your heart and soul. Receive that energy, Feel that energy expressing to you, Through you, Part of you. It's the living light of love. It's the Christ consciousness in your being. It's the highest light. Allow your energy to be present in this light and receive it. Stay for a moment and know all is well. All is well. All is well. And slowly come back into your body and your mind and realize you can absorb this energy and use it. That you have the power to heal yourself and use God's love and forgiveness, That unconditional love that supersedes all. It also releases so much negative karma and it brings about the great gift of peace. I wrote this a while back when someone questioned what God was and I wrote, If I were asked to speak of God, I would speak of the great love the heart of God carries. This is the precious love that lives in the Christ energy and the masters. It's a magnet that draws us ever near to the light of lights. If I were to speak of God, I would look at the miracle that living brings and I'd see it in all the humble servants of life. The ones who serve the Lord, Who have given their life so that others could follow. And I would look at the inspiration given by the beauty of this planet and how it nourishes and sustains us and leads us to be guardians and protectors. I would look at the acts of kindness humankind does in God's name. I would be in the awe of that amazing grace that saves us when we fall. It lifts us to glory when we open our hearts to this true energy of God's name. Still, I would be missing the truth of this magic that is beyond all words. If one were to say, How could God allow such pain and suffering? I would see the compassion God has for those who do not see how God allows life to be as we act out our lives in the beauty of this planet and how it nourishes us and sustains us and leads us to be so much a part of the destiny of our lives and the planet's life. I would look at the acts of all who are here to serve. Still, There's more. There's more kindness. There's more love. There's more compassion. There's more forgiveness needed when we allow ourselves to understand how God lets us serve in this life as his instruments. I offer words that are just a shallow part of the love and light of what God is. How can I put into words the ecstasy of the moments when you merge with God and the inner sanctuary of the soul? How can I describe heaven when it only makes me long to go home once again? When I take a breath of God's heaven in secret moments of communion, I know God is there to guide and reveal that unconditional love that is always present for us if we just take the time to look. If we experience God's love, It can transform our life. If that mystic union with the soul experienced on the road to Damascus, Like the chance of that moment when Paul was able to see that brilliant light that enlightened him and allowed the illumination to that Christ light to change him forever. That light that made Rumi dance down the street and spin in the old villages. It made him write his mystic poetry. It's the Christ consciousness, An enlightened way of being and seeing life. I always try to remember to say thank you, God, Each and every day. I thank you for being present right here in this sacred place with that energy of God, The beauty of nature displays, The ones who work to save this planet and all beings here on this planet earth who understand the power of that transformative love. I pray that you find that love God has for you and that it may bless you and your life eternally. Amen.
