A very big aloha.
My name is Reverend Cindy Paulus and I'm recording this right the weekend before Thanksgiving.
And I know people hear this sometimes even years later,
So time is relative,
Right?
And just like relatives,
Time brings different things to our life.
But the attitude of gratitude and the ability to be aware of being grateful for what we have in our life is so very important.
Now anyone who's studied Reiki knows that part of it is the attitude of gratitude.
And so I wanted to talk a little more about that attitude of gratitude because I think we take our lives for granted a lot.
And it's natural.
I understand we're doing a lot of things and there's always challenges we have to face in creating things and doing things in our lives.
But because we're doing a lot of things,
Sometimes we don't take the time to stop.
To just stop and be aware and be grateful for the gifts that we've got.
And then sometimes later in life we realize,
Wow,
I didn't realize I had it so good.
I didn't realize that at that time how blessed I really was.
And I think it's important to recognize that gift,
That blessing of where you are and what you have while you have it.
Times are changing rapidly.
Things are changing rapidly.
There's a lot going on in the world and I think we need to have that inner strength that we get through meditation,
Through taking the time to go within and being aware at the depth of how far we can go in recognizing who we are and why we should be grateful.
So that's what I wanted to do today.
Just kind of taking that deep dive within and allowing ourselves to recognize how amazingly blessed we are for being here,
Being alive,
Being in this present moment together.
So I'm not going to talk a lot more about that except to try to experience it together in meditation.
And I have a way of doing meditation that is kind of uniquely the way I've been doing it since I've been 13 or 14 years old,
Every day of my life.
And it's different sometimes than the way other people do their meditations.
I understand that.
But I just would like to share the way I do my meditation with you here and now by taking that moment or two to just get centered,
You know,
To be present,
To maybe light a candle if you have that there and to just allow that blessing of this present moment to be with you as you get centered and you follow that process of breathing and breathing deeply in and holding your breath.
And there goes my neck crack.
Cracking my neck always happens when I take that first few deep breaths.
And just allowing that alignment to breathe out all the way out,
Breathing out and just follow that breath,
That blessed breath of life in,
Holding,
And that breath out.
That wonderful gift of breath,
Breathing in,
Holding,
And breathing out,
Out deeply that can take you just following that breath.
Being here now.
And as you do this,
You become aware.
I'm hearing some birds outside.
I'm sensing an interesting energy.
You can take some moments to be aware of your recognitions as you breathe.
What are you aware of?
And allow that breath to take you into that place where you can be aware of that entire light that you can surround yourself with a protective,
Wonderful light,
A white light that goes way above you and down through you and underneath you to the right and the left of you in front of you,
Behind you.
A wonderful energy,
A protective white light surrounds you now.
And you continue to breathe in this safe space here together.
And you follow that path that comes as you are silent to a place where you are aware of the gifts of your life,
The blessings of being alive.
Just allow that highest self of you from that highest place within you to be present here with all of you right now.
What blessings are you aware of right now that you're grateful for?
So many blessings,
So many blessings.
Pick one of the blessings.
And recognize that gift in your life of that blessing.
And take a moment as you do that to now expand your blessings,
To send blessings out to someone you love.
And that can be someone who's alive or someone who's no longer here on the earth plane.
It's just a blessing to a being that you know.
And allow that blessing to be received and come back to you a hundredfold in recognition of how sharing energy of love and blessings multiply.
They multiply quite a bit actually as you send out love and blessings.
And now expand your awareness to your soul level.
Be grateful to your soul.
Take some moments to just say thank you to your soul for being present with you always.
That soul is present with you now,
Lifetime after lifetime.
That soul is always there to feed that spirit that comes through it to you.
What a blessing that is.
And now expand that blessing and that awareness to what created that soul.
The energy behind that presence of your soul.
How wonderful that energy is,
That source of love.
Allow that gratitude to pour all the way through all of your being.
And now follow that energy back into all levels of your consciousness,
Your mind,
Your body,
Your emotions,
Your energy levels of all of your spirit.
And allow all of them to be re-energized by the gift of gratitude.
Re-energized by the light that you are.
Re-energized by the light of the source of all light that keeps that energy flowing always.
And take a moment to just let me say thank you to you.
Thank you for your presence.
Thank you for your time together.
Thank you for being here.
