I'm Rev.
Cindy Palos and I wanted to talk about the power of unifying force of meditation.
Now I'm a metaphysician.
I have been since I started meditating and learned to meditate and the metaphysical field when I was 13 years old.
And I've been blessed to approach meditation as a way to connect with the highest source within,
The God within,
The soul within,
The spirit within.
The thing is that I never wanted to ever separate anyone's path as good or bad or judge or do anything of that nature.
And it's interesting because I've seen so many people say,
You know,
Christians or the Christian religion this or the Jewish religion that.
And I've seen Islamics and this.
So you know,
The thing is religions will always have some element of trying to maintain their people who follow it.
And that's an interesting thing if you follow it.
And I can understand why some people get upset by what's happened in the name of religion throughout history.
But I look at it from the deeper perspective of the teachers,
The creators,
The ones who were there first before religions were founded around them.
And if you go to that source,
That amazing place where you find the ones who were connected to God,
The ones who found,
Although they may call it other names,
You know,
The ones who found Atman,
Allah,
All the ones that were the wonderful source within all religions,
Then you have this wonderful unifying way to connect with that inner self within you without getting hung up on what may have happened through the many centuries or thousands of years since they started.
Now I practice Zen Buddhism.
I also love Daoism.
I also am very deeply connected to the mystical Christian path and follow Mother Mary very deeply.
I had a very wonderful connection with Mother Mary where she appeared to me.
And as part of her messages to me was that she was for all religions,
She was not limited by one religion.
And her messages that I got through her were for all religions and for all people,
For all people.
See,
The thing is,
We put a face on some of these things we follow or things we see,
You know.
We may put a judgment,
We may put an idea behind what is heaven or what is hell or what is Mary or what is Jesus or what is any of that.
And if you can just go beyond that to the essence of the true teachings from where they got their love and inspiration from.
There is a reason that there are so many people following some of the original teachings.
In metaphysics,
I just never think about that.
There's so many mystical paths in Judaism and there's mystical paths in Christianity and there's mystical paths in every following and teaching.
And even if you're just following psychologists,
If you look at Carl Jung,
If you look at any of the great philosophers,
All of them will take you to a deep place within.
So having said that,
Laying the groundwork there,
Let's just find out what inspired them and what created that energy that inspired them to have their lives dedicated.
Now I will take for a moment an example that I think a lot of people respect and that is Yogananda.
Yogananda was a metaphysical teacher.
If you look,
He's written some books.
Yeah,
I think he has met,
Is it metaphysical prayers and affirmations?
He has a book on the metaphysical teaching.
I don't know if a lot of people realize that.
Now there has been a lot of teachings done in self-realization fellowship.
I'm not following that particular path,
Although I respect what I've read about them and I certainly know the autobiography of a yoga,
A yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda.
It was read by the Beatles and Steve Jobs and many,
Many,
Many people who followed many different paths.
Right.
So if we take that as a standard and look at inside,
At the beautiful words and the teachings and the inspiration,
If you go to the Self-Realization Lake Shrine,
Which is one of my favorite places to go.
It's near the beach on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles,
Towards Malibu.
If you walk around the lake,
He has quotes from many different religions there.
And he also has a very simple sign that's there by the side of the lake that says,
Everything else can wait,
But our search for God cannot wait.
And strangely enough,
That's been attributed to George Harrison,
But George Harrison got it from Yogananda.
And if we look at that simple phrase,
Let's go into why that might be,
Why that is so important.
Now on many levels,
God is always with us.
And maybe it's just a meditation we need to take back the layers that we think are keeping us from being united with God,
Because we can't separate ourself from God.
We are part of that spark,
Part of the atoms,
Part of the energy field,
Part of the stardust that is all connected to that one source.
Now you may have an issue with the word God,
So we can call it the one source,
The creator.
Does that make more sense to you?
The creator,
The grand creator of the universe.
I've been inspired by the creator all of my life,
Well,
Since at least I've been getting deeper into meditation.
So most of my life,
Which is a long,
Long time,
My friend,
Because I've been meditating every day since I've been 13.
And I never cease to be amazed at the different ways that we connect with that creative source of all.
I've written,
Is it eight or nine books now?
And is it 14 CDs?
I'm working on my 14th CD,
All based on what I've gotten from meditation by connecting to that source.
So I always recommend you go into meditation and find a way to find out what resonates with you that you can be inspired by to become a co-creator.
It's amazing,
Some of the amazing books and music and artwork inspired by this force of creation within you.
So let's just go to that place and just take some time here to be in that space where we open the door to creation within.
So we take a few moments to get comfortable.
We sit erect and we breathe because breath sweeps mind.
We breathe in and hold our breath and pause and then breathe out,
Releasing anything,
Anything,
Anything that you wish to release.
Breathing deeply in.
Just cracked my neck there.
I'll accept all the light and love in the universe and let it come down and through me and bringing all the wonderful radiant light and love into every cell of my body.
And now let's go to that wonderful place where we put a light shield,
An armor of light and protection around us.
Breathing that light in and sending that light,
Oh,
So high,
Maybe 50 feet high above us and all the way down and through us and below us into the earth in front of us and behind us on either side of us until we're in this radiant field of beautiful light and love.
Now just bathe in this energy that you are now encapsulated with and embrace this light and love and feel safe and feel protected and feel you can just let go and let God.
Breathing in again,
Feel the difference now when you know that you're safe with God and the creative force of all of life.
Breathe it in,
Hold your breath and breathe it out.
Breathing in and releasing anything you need to release.
Let's do a body scan and be aware.
How does your entire head area feel?
Let's send light around all of our energy within our brain area there.
Sending light,
Light,
Light,
Light around,
Around,
Around.
Let it clarify and purify anything that's in that whole energy field of your brain and your mind.
Feeding the brain with wonderful love and light and releasing any tension.
Feel your ears and your nose,
Your eyes,
Your mouth,
Your tongue,
Your jaw.
Just allow it all to feel good.
Bring that energy into your throat area,
That lovely chakra of creativity.
Breathing into that beautiful pool of aquamarine light.
How does your neck feel?
How does your energy field feel?
Is there anything you might need to clear that you may have been holding back on?
You haven't spoken?
Release anything that may need to be freed there.
Going down to your shoulders,
Being aware.
How does your shoulders feel?
Is there anything you need to bring your shoulders down?
Is there any tension to release?
If so,
Breathe in and just release any tension.
Let your shoulders be bathed in light and coming down to your heart of heart,
The center of love there within your heart.
Ah,
Go deep into your heart of heart.
The heart chakra is green,
But I also like to bring in a watermelon lovely radiance in there as well.
And from your heart,
See if there's anything there that you need to open up to more love.
Go deep,
Deep,
Deep,
Deep,
Deep within your heart of heart.
Ah,
Send your heart love from your heart to the source of all love within.
Feel the blossoming of that radiant flower of love within your heart and send that love out to anyone you know that might need that love.
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
Breathe the love around all of the world,
Enlightening the world with love,
Radiant love light.
And bring that love back to your heart of hearts and feel that love growing a hundredfold.
Love that love and allow that love to now move down to your third chakra,
That golden wisdom chakra.
And let that whole area of your body and your spleen,
Your stomach,
Your liver,
Your kidney,
All of your digestive organs be purified with the white light bathing all of the energy there and purifying it.
Breathe in and allow it to be healed.
If there's any healing that needs to be healed,
Send that healing light and love there.
Ah,
Feel good.
And now come down to the feeling chakra,
The second chakra,
That purifying energy of feelings,
The power center there.
Allow that lovely orange wisdom ray to be enlightened with a love that completely releases any pain or hurt or feelings.
How do you feel?
Feel how you feel there.
Let all of the organs there feel good.
Anything in your lower back,
Send it light and love.
And now come down to your lovely root chakra,
That ruby red chakra,
That base of the spine energy,
Sending it love and healing and feel the power there.
Radiant,
Radiant rays of ruby red light at the base.
Go on down and allow your thighs,
Your knees,
Your calves,
Your feet to be healed.
Anything that needs energizing there,
Let it be energized and full and feeling great and strong.
And now just go into that sacred space within.
Go to the radiant light of your soul.
Just be present in your soul's energy.
Feel that energy from your soul radiating light forth.
Ah,
Imagine yourself in the radiant golden room of your soul,
In the sacred place where your energy is eternal and knows you from lifetime after lifetime.
And now in this blessed place of your soul,
Allow that creative energy to fill this room.
Feel it radiating around in that energy field that you are.
And thank your soul for being so present throughout so many lifetimes.
Allow that soul to connect with the spirit that connects it with God,
The creator,
The life force of all of life,
The inspiration behind all of life.
Be present with this lovely energy shining forth through you from the source of all.
Bathe in this energy.
Feel yourself being redeemed and renewed and re-inspired and reborn.
Ah,
Feel that wonderful energy of unconditional love.
And now bring that energy through and down into all of your body,
Your mind,
Your emotions,
And let that energy be completely absorbed by you.
Let it feel that radiant energy that comes through to all of you right now.
And if there's any message,
Any thought that comes,
Allow that thought to be present so that you can write it down after we come out of meditation.
And slowly come completely back,
Completely be present in that light and that love.
And take a moment to say thank you,
God.
Thank you for being present.
Thank you for that love and the light in this presence.
