A Little Aloha Goes A Long Way

I talk about the true gift and deeper meaning of Aloha. Aloha has been misunderstood by many who think it is just Hello or Goodbye. The essence of the meaning of the word has such a more powerful energy behind it.

A very big aloha. My name is Reverend Cindy Paulos and I've been living on Maui for 36 years and I have always been just in love with the word aloha and it has so many meanings to it and it's believe me so much more than just hello or goodbye. Aloha has very deep deep roots and it includes in its literal translation the word of the presence of breath and not only the presence but if you break it down as the presence or being in the presence and breath of course is life and that presence can go very deep very very very very deep and that presence has spirit of course and we have then of course come to many people wishing to describe aloha in so many different ways but key to life is ha that breath right and when you have that spirits presence that presence of breath and you are using breath with that presence you are in that gift of love the gift of being able to be in that spirit that can carry love and share love and be love it's a very deep deep word and if you look it up almost everyone will say there's really no translation there's really no real translation for that because when you're talking about that presence that energy that in itself has so many deep deep meanings to it but I did a piece a while back called just a little aloha because I have found over my years here that having that aloha and living in that aloha spirit can truly change the way you live and the way you act in the way you interact so I thought I'd share this piece I had two wonderful young ladies sing my words actually they're speaking my words as we share aloha in our lives the practice of aloha is a living energy in the breath of wonder that the rainbows bring just a little aloha goes a long long way maybe it's a smile or a kind word that you say aloha holds a presence alive right there inside it's a living energy something we cannot hide we all have to live together we're here to learn each day to bring a little more aloha as we go upon our way aloha is more than a word it's a way to show we care when you live with aloha you see that love is everywhere it's just a little aloha goes a long long way take some time to remember try to be aware right and backs of kindness make a difference when they are shared breathe in the aloha for a moment just see the same energy that created you also created me start with kindness for yourself and all that you go through and then spread that loving kindness to others you run into it's just a little aloha brings more kindness to the world practice living that aloha let it shine forth to the world let that love unfurl don't judge others because they're not like you but look with compassion for what they're going through just a little even a little bit of aloha is a precious state of mind a gift in life we find may recognize the beauty that is given to you every day be thankful for blessings this gift of living brings just a little aloha goes a long long way
