Letting go of tension in your body and in your life.
Welcome to my meditation.
Take these next few minutes just for you.
Make yourself comfortable and close your eyes.
Let yourself arrive fully in this moment with all that you are.
The parts that are tired,
The parts that are longing,
And the parts that just need to breathe.
Because here you are safe.
Here you are seen.
Here you are home.
Take a slow gentle breath in and a soft easing breath out.
Allow your awareness to drift inward as if you're walking back into yourself.
Into a quiet inner sanctuary that has been waiting for you.
Notice where your body holds onto tightness as if it's been protecting you,
Carrying you for what you didn't want to feel.
Perhaps that's in your shoulders,
Or your jaw.
Maybe there's a tightness in your chest or your stomach.
Or a subtle guarding which only you can sense when you finally slow down.
With every inhale,
Imagine a warm golden light gathering in these places.
And with every exhale,
Feel that light soften what has been clenched or burdened.
You're not forcing anything to change.
You're simply offering your body permission to release what it no longer needs to hold.
Let your breath become a gentle hand on the heart.
A reminder that you're not alone in here.
That something deep within you still knows how to soothe,
How to calm,
How to return you to home.
Settle into this moment as if you're settling into a soft inner ground.
With each inhale,
Invite clarity and softness.
And with each exhale,
Let go of the weight that has pressed against your spirit.
Feel your shoulders gently lowering as though the earth is lifting the burden from them.
Release your jaw,
Let the tongue soften,
And let your hands relax their quiet grip on the day.
Imagine the tension melting like ice kissed by the early morning sun,
Slowly,
Naturally.
As if it remembers what it is to flow again.
Let your breath move through you like a cleansing tide,
Gathering what feels heavy and carrying it away with tenderness.
And here's the thing.
You don't need to be anything right now.
You don't need to be strong or composed or even productive.
Just here.
Just breathing.
Just human.
Human.
And as your body relaxes,
Let your mind loosen as well.
Let the thoughts drift outward like leaves floating down a stream.
Beneath all the tension,
There is a softer self,
A wiser self,
A quieter self,
A self that has never left you.
Feel that gentle presence emerging like a light glowing just beneath your ribs,
Steady and warm.
And I wonder,
Which parts of you feel the most relief or softness right now?
And what might that part have been longing for?
What weight or worry feels ready to be released,
Even just a little,
As you rest here now?
As you sit in this calm,
What kind and tender words would nurture and comfort you in this moment?
Feel how your breath moves more freely now,
How your body rests with a little more surrender.
Notice the spaciousness you have created,
These gentle inner rooms that open when you give yourself the time.
Let this quiet now settle around you,
Like a soft click of peace being placed over your shoulders.
With each breath,
Sense the calm unfurling,
From your chest,
Down through your stomach,
Down your legs,
And throughout your entire whole being.
Let the light within you brighten,
Spreading warmth and that steady sense of being held.
And know that this softness,
This groundedness,
This spacious inner home,
Is always here.
Thank you for sharing this space with me,
Carry this calm and gentleness with you,
And remember,
You can always return to this quiet part of yourself,
Whenever you need it.
