You are here.
Right now.
Whatever is happening around you,
Let it stay where it is.
I was a naval officer.
And before I talk to you about energy,
Chakras or ancient traditions,
I want to take you somewhere very few people have been.
The engine room of a ship.
You climb down the metal ladder.
The air grows hot.
Heavy with fuel and steel.
And there you feel it before you hear it,
A vibration,
Deep,
Constant.
The Engine.
The heartbeat of the vessel.
This vibration,
It is not mechanical,
It is the same one pulsing in your bones,
In your sacrum,
In the base of your belly.
The ancients call it the fire of life,
The Kero shamans of the Andes call it Sami,
The living light of the earth.
You are simply God.
Going to learn to feel it.
Find a stable position,
Sitting or lying down,
It doesn't matter.
What matters?
That you are in contact with something solid.
The floor.
A chair.
A bed.
Now place your right hand or both hands.
Pound facing down on your thighs or directly on the floor if you're lying down.
This gesture has a name.
Bhumi Sparsha Mudra.
In Sanskrit.
Touching the earth.
This is exactly the gesture the Buddha made.
On the night of his awakening,
When Mara,
The force of doubt,
Demanded to know by what right he sat there.
He simply reached down and touched the earth.
And the earth bore witness for him.
This is not a symbol.
This is a circuit.
Your palms,
Or fingertips.
Resting on a solid surface.
Complete a loop between you and the Earth's magnetic field.
The Cairo shamans call it Sami Wazi.
The house of luminous energy,
You are coming home.
Now the breath.
Four counts,
Four phases.
Slow I will guide you.
Hold.
Excel.
Three,
Four.
3 4 Hold 2,
3,
4 Exhale.
Empty.
One more time.
On your own.
For complete cycles.
Let the drum.
Guide you.
You are breathing.
The earth is under your hands.
Now?
Bring your attention to the base of your spine.
The sacrum.
That triangular bone at the bottom of your back.
Its name comes from Latin os sacrum.
The sacred home.
The Romans understood this before most of us.
Imagine there.
Being flame.
A red amber,
Dance,
Steady.
Like a coal that holds its heat for hours.
With each breath in and out.
It catches air.
It deepens slightly.
With each breath out.
Radiates downward.
Into your legs.
Into your feet.
To the ground.
You don't have to manufacture this heat.
It is already there.
You are simply giving it permission to exist.
Elite soldiers who train in combat breathing techniques do exactly this.
They don't always know it.
But when they drop their center of gravity,
When they plant their feet in the middle of chaos.
They are activating this file.
This chakra,
This anchor.
And the Keros shamans.
In their dispatcher ceremonies.
Touch the earth exactly as your hands are touching it now.
To establish contact.
To remind the body that it belongs to something larger.
The Earth is alive.
And it is holding you.
Now.
Simply stay with that amber.
Let the crystal ball carry you.
Feel the weight of your hips.
Feel the contact of your palms.
Feel the warmth at the base of your spine.
You are not someone searching for an answer.
You are the anchor.
Each breath.
Confirms that.
Each exhale settles a little more of you into the earth.
When you are ready,
Very slowly move your fingers,
Your toes,
Bring a little more depth back into your breath.
The fire is lit.
It will not go out.
This is the first of 10 seals.
Muladhara.
The fire anchor.
You are here,
You are stable.
You are ready.
See you for seal number two.
