Hi,

This is Chris Gilland.

Together we are about to embark on a journey.

A journey of deep relaxation.

A journey of sleep.

Now as we start this session,

Find yourself a comfortable place.

This could be your bed.

Maybe it's a sleeping bag on the floor.

Whatever it is,

Just know you are in your safe haven right now.

Everything around you is serene.

Everything is pure.

Everything is peaceful.

Everything is love.

Now as we begin,

Feel free to close your eyes if that's most comfortable for you.

If you'd rather keep your eyes open,

However,

That's okay too.

Please just do whatever works best for you.

There's not a right nor a wrong answer here.

The idea of this meditation is not necessarily to clear your mind entirely,

But it is to bring you to a sense of relaxation and above all,

Peace and possibly sleep.

If you don't fall asleep,

However,

Through this journey,

That's okay.

Now place both of your hands on your tummy,

Maybe one crossed over the other,

And feel the breath flowing in your nose and out your mouth.

Let's breathe together,

Shall we?

In through the nose and out your mouth.

If you can't follow my rhythm and my speed exactly,

That's okay.

There's no shame in that.

Just breathe at the pace that feels right for you.

In through your nose,

Out through your mouth.

Breathing is peaceful as you get more and more relaxed.

In through your nose,

Out through your mouth.

Atta go.

Good job.

Rest.

You are loved and you are beautifully created and beautifully made.

Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Think about something today,

Something that made you very happy.

Maybe it was a comment that someone said to you.

Perhaps maybe it was a hug and a kiss from your child,

Whatever it was.

Let's just rest with that for a moment,

Remembering how great and how thankful it made you feel.

If you can't think of anything right now off the top of your head,

Don't worry.

It's okay.

In that case,

Just continue breathing.

What other sensations right now do you feel around you?

Maybe feel the cool air on your face.

I'm right here and I'm not leaving you and I will continue guiding you.

This is your safe haven.

You're safe.

And everything is going to be all right.

You might not believe that now,

But I promise you it is.

Trust me to this.

I know I've been there.

This brings us to the end of our meditation session.
