In this episode, we explore why repetition is essential for spiritual growth and lasting transformation. We discuss how returning to the truths God has already shown you strengthens you, renews your mind, and brings your flesh into alignment with the Holy Spirit within you. You’ll be encouraged to practice the steps we've discussed - not once, but consistently, so truth becomes a lifestyle rather than a moment of inspiration. This message invites you to embrace repetition as a tool for spiritual maturity, stability, and sustained victory in your walk with Christ.

Welcome back to Wilderness to Wisdom.

We've covered several steps so far,

And today we come to the last foundational step,

Which might be the simplest one to say,

But one of the hardest ones to live out.

And that is,

Repeat.

Yes,

That's the step.

Do it again,

And again,

And again.

This journey isn't about a one-time decision.

It is about living a lifestyle of walking with God and allowing our minds to be renewed as we choose the narrow path day after day.

Moving from Wilderness to Wisdom is a lifelong process.

You'll keep circling back to the foundational steps we've covered,

Each time taking you into a deeper,

More authentic relationship with God.

As you take each step,

You'll look back and see that you are not the same person you were when you started this journey.

Always remember that God is faithful to complete the work He started in you,

And every step you take matters.

Before we dive deeper into today's step,

Let's take a moment to reflect on where God has already brought us in this journey.

I'll do a quick recap,

And as you walk out your journey,

Go back and listen to these episodes as often as you need to,

As a reminder.

In Step 1,

Building Your Foundation in Christ,

We learned that everything begins with Jesus as our solid foundation.

In John 14 6,

Jesus said,

I am the way,

And the truth,

And the life.

No one comes to the Father except through me.

When we believe Jesus died for our sins and we receive the Holy Spirit,

We become a new creation,

And from that moment on,

Our lifelong goal is to put on the nature of Christ as we walk with Him.

And then we moved on to understanding why God created the world.

We explored God's original intent,

Because if we don't know why we're here,

It's hard to know how we're supposed to live.

God created the world for His glory,

And He wants us to choose to live in relationship with Him.

We were not meant to just exist,

To trudge through life and be powerless in this world.

We are meant to represent the kingdom.

You exist on purpose,

For God's purpose.

Then we talked about repentance.

I called it making a U-turn,

And this is about turning away from our own way and realigning with God.

In the kingdom,

Making a U-turn may seem like taking a step back,

But it's really the only way to move forward,

Allowing God to course-correct our lives.

Then we moved on to seek wisdom.

We learned about knowledge,

Wisdom,

And how revelation takes wisdom to a whole new level.

Revelation is God-revealed wisdom that results in proper application in our lives.

And then we moved on to the heart of the journey,

Seeking God's kingdom and His righteousness.

Matthew 6.

33 says,

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness,

And all these things will be added to you.

When we understand and focus on kingdom living,

Everything else aligns.

The more you seek,

The more you will want to seek.

The more you learn,

The more you'll want to learn.

It will become your nature to prioritize seeking God's kingdom and righteousness.

Then we moved on to the next step and learned how to seek God's kingdom and righteousness through reading,

Talking,

Listening,

And obedience.

Reading God's word doesn't just inform us,

It gives us direction.

Talking with God is simply a conversation with our Father.

We thank Him,

Bring our requests to Him,

And openly share everything that is on our hearts and minds.

We learned about the many ways we hear from God.

And then we moved on to obedience,

Because this is how what we hear from God results in action that moves us toward the life God wants us to have here on earth.

Then,

Most recently,

We uncovered how the enemy works through lies,

Deception,

And fear,

And how we stand against him using the word of God.

Because Christ has already defeated the enemy,

Our role is to walk in that victory by rejecting his lies and allowing God to renew our minds so that we can become more like Christ.

Consistency is key.

Repeating these steps aligns our flesh with the Holy Spirit because consistent action leads to victory.

Luke 9.

23 says,

Daily,

That's the word that stands out to me.

Every day,

We get the opportunity to say yes to God.

Consistency is where transformation happens,

Not in a single big decision,

But in the many small decisions we make each day to keep choosing God,

Even when we're tired,

When we don't see immediate results,

Or when we're going through difficult seasons.

Some days,

Saying yes to God feels easy.

Other days,

It feels like it could be pretty costly.

But each day builds on the last,

Helping us to break free from the programming of the to put on more of the nature of Christ with each day and with each choice that we make.

Repeating these foundational steps helps us to endure and to not give up when life gets hard.

James 1.

12 tells us,

Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial,

For when he has stood the test,

He will receive the crown of life,

Which God has promised to those who love him.

Remaining steadfast in the easier seasons of life prepares us for the times when we are faced with trials and attacks from the enemy.

When we stay consistent in the word of God,

We learn to trust God long before the storm hits.

Then,

When the trials come,

We can stand firm and walk with confidence,

Knowing that all things truly are working together for our good.

Repeating these steps also keeps us in a kingdom mindset.

We keep reminding ourselves of our desire to put on the nature of Christ.

We keep seeking God's kingdom and righteousness.

We keep listening for His voice.

And we yield to God's course correction when we drift off track.

Every time we do this,

We grow a little stronger,

A little wiser,

And more like Christ.

Then,

We also position ourselves to receive continual revelation.

Revelation is when something clicks in your soul and truly renews your mind.

It's when the Holy Spirit takes truth you may have heard a hundred times,

But suddenly it becomes personal,

Alive,

And it changes you.

Revelation isn't the finish line.

It's the starting point that helps us to walk in obedience.

Ephesians 117 says that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ,

The Father of Glory,

May give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.

We can't force revelation,

But we can position ourselves to receive it by continually renewing our minds through the word of God.

As we allow the Holy Spirit to lead us into truth,

And we submit to God's course correction,

Our eyes open to the wisdom God wants to reveal.

Revelation brings clarity,

Courage,

And direction.

It is the moment when our mind,

Will,

And emotions begin to align more fully with the Holy Spirit within us,

Empowering us to take the next steps with confidence.

Before we close,

I want to offer you some personal encouragement from my journey.

Before I understood this,

I was repeating the ways of the world instead of the ways of God.

It felt like living on a hamster wheel,

Constantly moving,

But never getting anywhere.

I was searching for peace,

But never finding anything that lasted,

That peace that surpasses understanding.

I kept cycling through the same patterns and calling them new seasons,

When really,

They were the same toxic cycles dressed up in different circumstances.

And in the process,

I was allowing the enemy to steal so much of my time.

But repeating the foundational steps we've walked through in each episode so far brings a completely different outcome.

It leads to forward movement,

Real transformation,

Because each step peels away another layer of deception,

Conditioning,

And worldly thinking that once kept me from knowing my true identity and the power I have as a new creation in Christ.

Every time we say yes to God,

Even in the small things,

Our foundation in Christ strengthens.

We take another step out of the wilderness and further into wisdom.

It is not about trying to pursue perfection,

Then getting discouraged when we fall short.

It's about not giving up and continuing to align ourselves with the Holy Spirit.

With each step,

We walk a little further into the life God intended for us.

I'll leave you with a few questions to reflect on.

Where do you find yourself repeating old patterns,

Thoughts,

Habits,

Or responses that don't reflect who you are in Christ?

Which step in this journey is the Holy Spirit nudging you to prioritize and strengthen right now?

And finally,

In what small way can you begin right now to realign your heart with the truth of God's Word and take a step forward,

Not out of pressure,

But out of trust?

As you sit with these questions,

Remember the promise of Philippians 1 6,

And I am sure of this,

That he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

You are not walking this journey alone,

And you're not expected to perfect it in your own strength.

God is faithful to finish what he started in you.

Allow the Holy Spirit to lead.

Every repeated step and every moment of surrender to God's will guides,

Steadies,

And strengthens you.

Your consistency matters.

Your obedience matters.

Your seeking matters.

Nothing is ever wasted in the kingdom.

So as you step into your next chapter,

Trust that God is leading you and that he is with you every step of the way.

Thank you for joining me for this episode of Wilderness to Wisdom.
