Challenges can be an exciting way to use the skills we’ve learned so far, but if we become too caught up with whether or not we will succeed, we might avoid challenges or become discouraged if we fail. In reality, challenges aren’t really an opportunity to win something, but an opportunity to learn something, and another opportunity is always around the corner. Isn’t that exciting?

Welcome to Charm Words,

Your daily reminder to be good to yourself and others.

My name's Zola,

And together we're going to breathe in the good,

Breathe out the bad,

And use words to remind ourselves of our worth.

Today's Charm Words are all about bouncing back after hard times,

Because we all learn more about ourselves after facing a challenge.

Let's do some belly breathing before our affirmations.

When you breathe in,

Use your nose and keep your shoulders still.

Once your belly fills up like a balloon,

Breathe out through your mouth by just letting go.

In through the nose,

Out through the mouth.

Ready?

Take a gentle,

Deep breath slowly through your nose,

And breathe out through your mouth.

In through your nose,

And out through your mouth.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

One more time,

Breathe in,

And breathe out.

Today's Charm Words are,

Challenges help me to learn and grow.

I'll say it first,

Then repeat after me.

Ready?

Challenges help me to learn and grow.

Challenges help me to learn and grow.

Challenges help me to learn and grow.

Challenges help me to learn and grow.

Challenges help me to learn and grow.

Challenges help me to learn and grow.

Great job.

Now we have the energy to handle any challenge that comes our way today.

On the count of three,

High five the person closest to you,

Or clap your hands together and high five yourself.

Ready?

One,

Two,

Three.

Yay!

These charm words are yours to keep.

So put them in your pocket and take them with you wherever you go.

You can find us at charmwords.
