Begin by finding a comfortable,

Quiet space where you can sit or lie down without any distractions.

If it's comfortable for you,

Go ahead and close your eyes down or take a soft gaze.

And take a deep,

Slow breath in,

Hold it at the top.

And as you breathe out,

Let your body soften.

Release any tension in your shoulders,

Your neck,

Your jaw.

Repeat this two more times.

Now imagine yourself standing at the edge of a peaceful forest.

The air all around you is fresh and cool,

Filled with the scent of pine and earth.

A gentle breeze moves through the trees,

Rustling the leaves,

And you feel the soft touch of the wind on your skin.

Ahead of you is a path leading to an open,

Sunlight glaring,

A place of calm and safety.

A place that exists just for you.

With each step along the path,

Feel the worries,

Distractions,

And busyness of the day,

Of your life,

Gently fall away.

This is a space for you to connect with yourself,

A space where you can let go and allow healing to happen.

As you step forward,

You feel lighter with each movement,

Leaving behind all that isn't needed right now.

This is a sacred,

Private space where you are safe,

Supported,

And most of all,

Loved.

As you arrive in this clearing,

Imagine a soft,

Warm light streaming down from above,

Filling this open space with a golden glow.

You feel the warmth of the sunlight on your skin,

A gentle reminder that you are held and supported.

The ground beneath you is soft,

And you feel the strength of the earth grounding you,

Offering you stability and peace.

Bring to mind any feelings of regret,

Guilt,

Or self-blame that you may have been carrying.

These are the small stones we all gather along in our journey,

The moments when we were unkind to ourselves,

Times we wish we'd done things differently,

The words we wish we'd spoken,

Or moments we wish we could undo.

You don't need to relive each one,

Or go into the details,

Simply acknowledge their presence.

Now as you breathe in,

Imagine gathering these small stones in your hands,

Each one representing a burden that you've been holding on to.

You may notice that some stones feel heavier than others,

And that's okay.

Just allow yourself to feel the weight of each stone without judgment or criticism.

Take your time here.

On your next exhale,

Feel the weight of these stones,

Noticing how they've affected your heart and your mind,

Acknowledging the space they've taken up in your life.

Now with each breath,

Feel the intention to release them growing within you.

Know that you are here to let go of what no longer serves you,

To create space for healing and self-compassion.

Now one by one,

Begin to place each stone on the ground in front of you,

Laying them down in the warm sunlight.

Imagine that as each stone meets the earth,

It's gently embraced by the warmth of the sun,

Dissolving into the soil,

Releasing the energy it's been holding.

The earth accepts these stones without judgment,

Transforming them into soil,

Allowing them to be a part of something larger,

Something whole.

As you let go of each stone,

Say to yourself softly,

I forgive myself.

Feel the meaning of these words resonate within you.

Allow yourself to feel the release,

The lightness,

As you lay down each weight,

Each regret.

You my dear,

Are not defined by the burdens you've carried.

You are not limited by past choices or moments.

You are free to release these things,

To let them be absorbed by the earth.

If there's any part of you that feels resistance to letting go,

That feels like it needs to hold on to these stones,

Acknowledge it with compassion.

This part of you may be trying to protect you in its own way.

Gently say to this part of yourself,

It's okay to let go.

I am safe.

I am ready.

Allow that part to release its grip,

Trusting that you are ready to move forward without carrying the weight of the past.

Now place your hands over your heart,

Feeling the warmth of your own touch,

And take a deep slow breath in.

As you exhale,

Repeat again,

I forgive myself.

Notice how these words feel in your body.

You might feel a gentle softening,

A sense of peace,

Or a lightness beginning to grow within you.

Each time you say these words,

Imagine a wave of compassion washing over you,

Easing any lingering tension,

Filling you with a deep sense of relief.

Now repeat softly to yourself,

I did the best I could with what I knew at the time.

Let this statement settle into your heart,

Filling you with understanding and compassion.

Imagine that each breath you take fills you with warmth,

Light,

And love,

Releasing any remaining heaviness.

You have the power to choose kindness toward yourself in this moment.

Imagine that warm sunlight surrounding you now,

Filling every part of your being with light.

See this light expanding within you,

Reaching every corner of your mind and heart,

Healing every part of you that still holds on to pain.

This light is your own compassion,

Your own love for yourself.

It shines brighter with each breath filling you from the inside out.

Now take a moment to feel gratitude for yourself,

For the courage it takes to forgive,

For the willingness to let go,

For the strength you've shown along the way.

Acknowledge the journey you've been on and the progress you've made.

You are whole.

You are forgiven.

You are free to move forward without the weight of the past.

Take a deep breath in,

Hold at the top for a moment,

And as you exhale,

Let go of anything remaining that no longer serves you.

Feel a wave of peace and lightness wash over you,

Knowing that you have made space for new growth,

New joy,

And new beginnings.

Know that you can return to this space whenever you need to,

That this place of self-forgiveness and healing is always within you.

Now to bring this healing home,

I will now share a poem I've written.

I lay down the stones I've carried,

Pieces of a life I thought were mine to hold,

Each one a story I no longer need to tell,

Moments of striving,

Of trying to belong.

There under the warm gaze of sunlight,

The stones soften,

Dissolve into earth,

Absorbed by something greater,

Something kind.

They sink,

And I feel a lightness,

A quiet release.

I whisper to myself,

I did the best I could,

And this time,

I believe it,

Like a breath that flows gently in,

Gently out,

Filling the spaces once bound by regret.

I am not the weight I've carried,

I am the air,

The release,

The soft letting go,

And this light I begin again,

Whole and free,

A soul unburdened,

Moving forward in grace.

Take one last moment to feel the warmth of the sun,

The strength of the earth,

And the lightness in your heart,

Dear one.

When you're ready,

Gently open your eyes if they're closed,

Bringing the sense of peace,

Forgiveness,

And compassion with you into your day.
